List of Loadouts (WIP)

During the last stream, shoe said that he could imagine a special mode for competition, where e.g. you pick from a couple of allowed loadouts for each merc.

If they end up doing something like that, then I guess there is no problem anyway. Competitive and standard gameplay would differ a bit, but that is true for many games, and I don’t feel like the loadouts really change anything significant I’m terms of gameplay.

couldnt disagree more. I main objective Proxy and my 2 favourite loadouts are the De.50 ones. Having a pistol with the SMG makes a lot more sense than SMG/Machine Pistol

R51 Venerable Close Assault (Quick Draw, Throwing Knife, Springy) is still my favourite proxy loadout just cause of the insanely quick burst damage you can do with her.

In terms of pure effectiveness, MP400 is far above DE.50. 1 DE round clearly does not equal 5 mp400 rounds. Maybe 3. My opinion was, machine pistols allow you to provide sustainable fire (90 rounds in a smg + mp loadout compared to a 62 rounds with smg + DE) without changing your playstyle totally. Therefore making smg + mp loadouts kinda easier to use. But honestly, I have not been able to get a good smg + pistol loadout right now. I’m excepting to get one sooner or later :slight_smile:

Do we have a thread of what people consider to be the best loadouts for play or a ranked loadout list (with reasons as to why)? I think that would make for an interesting thread if it doesn’t already exist.

I agree, DE.50 and most of non auto pistols may need a clip size buff.

To me, loadout choices are finally quite restrictive and quite obvious right now. First, the main weapon is the biggest thing that will give a loadout an edge to others (K121 as fragger for example). But sometimes you need to give up a better weapon to get interesting augments. To mention one, explodydendron is only available with M4 and BR16 as fragger.
So that’s all about compromise.

Globally, some augments are VERY useful (Springy, Double Time, Quick Draw, Drilled…) in general terms. They give a good buff to any merc during the whole game. If you’re into strong team support, I also recommend role related augments (Extra supplies, Get Up…). Those are really good support improvements and sometimes saves you from falling into stupid situations (out of ammo as skyhammer with ammo drops on cooldown, respawning a mate and see him getting 2-shot 1.5 sec later…). Generally, if I get a good multi-purpose augment and a role oriented augment, I’m pretty satisfied :slight_smile:

I understand that. But I’d like to see an opinion thread that discusses a sort of tier list of loadout cards. What is the best Aura shotgun card? How about Proxy SMG/SMG setup or is SMG/deagle better (as discussed here). Which LMG card is best for Fragger overall. It could be an interesting discussion.

Also, you can get Explodydendron on Skyhammer with the Timik-47 because I have it. But a discussion of why that augment on a Fragger about if the augment was worth using the BR16 or not would be fun IMO.

From a strictly combat perspective I believe the most important augments are 1st drilled 2nd quicktime and 3rd tough, but they are quite spread around with less strong augs. For example, there is no br16 or m4 fragger with drilled as this would likely be very very strong. K121 drilled is nice for that weapon’s slow reload but still leaves it decently long not really offering any crazy advantage.

Similarly there is no tough br16 or m4 fragger , being only on the k121, likely again to balance slow reload time tucking into cover. A br16 or m4 fragger with tough would prob be a big issue.

I really wonder how they are going to implement the custom cards / card upgrade system they are taking about without breaking this

The Nader Silver KE43 Hurricane Operative actually comes with Flying Pig, Enigma and Tough. That’s consistent with the Iron KE43 but the Bronze and Gold currently show “Looter, ?, ?” which I suspect is incorrect. Also how could the Gold version be marked as confirmed and yet have two unknown augments?

I can also confirm the Nader CR81 Warlike Operative currently marked as unconfirmed.

Thanks. I think that’s because I saw a glimpse of the card somewhere but the augments weren’t clearly visible. I must have thought that Looter was clear but made a mistake. All fixed!

Now all we need to find is one more Iron, the two Silver/Gold exclusives, and the last augment for SM72.

Bushwhacker (Gold) BL73
Aura (Gold) H83

I also spotted a Bushwhacker (Silver) SM43 which means this loadouts appears at the Silver level and BL71 is the Gold-only loadout.

Awesome, with that the Bushwhacker loadouts are now complete.

This time I would say that his Silver and Gold exclusive are nothing to write home about. The Bronze exclusive is decent, as it gives you a strong target for a crappy primary weapon.

I would probably choose the C41, to stick with his default weapon with a sensible list of Augments (Focus being the weakest IMO, why is that even on so many SMG mercs?).
