you are so wrong it’s stupifying
Brink uses VAC, not Punkbuster. Both work with Linux.
Good news on the Linux server, I hope it is out day one like QWET’s was.
Just to clarify (and I said this at the event as well), while we are working on a Linux server, it most likely won’t be ready in time for launch next week.
Thanks badman (and SD), this is really good news (even if they’re not released at launch).
Is there by any chance some more info now when there’s been one more week? Will you make it for the EU release date this friday? Will you miss it by a week? Is there some huuge problems which will postpone it for like a month or even more?
Getting tired of doing this all the time
./steam -command update -game "brink" -dir .
i hope it’s coming soon… seriously the first few days are important and stuff must get done ASAP, a lot of us want to create some good stable servers.
i know the devs are probably working hard on other things i just don’t want the linux server to be tossed to the side as it’s just as important to the success of the game!
Not sure if that’s the best priority, as when more clients can start playing without probs, there might not be enough stable servers to serve them properly
The armies of the Makron, must swell…
A “definitely won’t be available in the first 4 months” would have been a better response.
Nice find, ive been looking for it for some time now
Are you still working on it? or is it just one of those things that wont happen.
I am glad that they didn’t release linux files or else I would have hosted a empty server.
