EDIT: Nvm found it, and she wasn’t banned for being overpowered, she’s banned for being bugged and therefore inconsistent with the revives.
Never said she was. And that wasn’t the only reason, she was also banned because of her ridiculous damage to objectives, and some other buggyness.

I agree with these changes. Maybe the devs could give Sparks the KEK-10 instead of giving the best SMG to one character only. She’d still be too squishy to be OP in CQC.
I play Sparks 95% exclusively and have the entire time since her release, and have such a difficult time with her. She’s so disgustingly weak, it’s hard to do much with her besides play 100% support.
She is not a combat merc at all. The REVIVR is too cumbersome to be an effective weapon. It’s only good situationally (ie, in a twitch shooter, expecting someone to stand still long enough for a full charge. Hilarious).
I can see how she can be ANNOYING for opposition, but not overpowered. She can zombie her teammates to life pretty fast with the quick charge augment, but compared to Aura, who has the same health, she can’t hold a candle because Aura at least has a decent weapon to defend herself with (shotgun), and can squat on her own health station like a twerp.
People will always cry “OP” about things they don’t like. They need to try her for themselves. It’s not as easy as it looks, especially when she’s 1 hit killed by every shotgun carrying merc (Aura, Fletcher, Rhino, Proxy… If Sparks gets lucky and manages to REVIVR 1 hit kill you after getting full charge and you holding still long enough, imagine how a Sparks player feels being 1 hit killed by the noobshotty you panic-tap because she happens to run by? Same crap, different sound. At least the shotty isn’t like waiting for the stars to align just right for a kill like the REVIVR is).
Expect negative k/d often with this merc, and okay scores (good ones if you’re in 8v8 and your team is garbage), and expect to play her as 100% support (meaning stay out of the action and just sit there like a pleb waiting for people to get downed since you’re too delicate to do any offense… or defense… or anything but reviving from 2,000,000 miles away).
If someone finds Sparks OP, they just need to remember to gib her teammates. Problem solved. You effectively butcher her. If someone finds the REVIVR OP… lol… try it.
I think they should change her method of healing and not even so much from a balance stand point as to a playstyle/theme thing. All other medics have their own unique way to heal from the other medics.
Aura has her healing station which is amazing at securing a location. Phoenix has a healing aura which combos with his self revive making him great for pushes. Sawbonez has his large medpacks which are versatile but not necessarily great at any one thing over the others.
Then there’s sparks, who just uses a terrible version of sawbonez’s medpacks, which is incredibly lame since sparks is a rather unique medic otherwise. She should really have a ranged heal to compliment her playstyle of hanging back and supporting her team. Possibly replacing the medpacks with an alternate healing mode for the REVIVR, or noticing the 3 grenades she has on her model, she could use some form of healing grenade.
Supporting/fighting from range is the whole point of playing Sparks, removing damage from her REVIVR and/or giving her a SMG would be a TERRIBLE idea.
I love that merc, it is very unique.
The biggest problem is the revive mechanic as a whole, not her gun. Being invulnerable while “reviving” is just bad design imo.

I like Sparks cause its very strong in teh right hands, i love sparks because its very weak in the wrong hands.
