The devs did a terrible job with kira being japanese. She doesn’t look even a little asian. Only when she starts jabbering in japanese will you know. And even then her japanese and her japanese english is kind of iffy, I’ve heard real japanese ppl irl and it’s not like this.

There are many people who might have a bit of a thicker accent, she could just be one of them and Kira does look asian in my opinion.
They changed her head/face a while back to look a bit more-so since many said she just looked anime-esque, I personally liked her old head/face.

Kind of agree, kind of don’t.

The concept art for Kira was noticeably more western than her actual render. SD changed the design to make her look more “Asian”. I agree that the voice lines are a bit off though - the accent is a bit exaggerated.

I asked a translator friend and they said it means “bent”. It could be a spelling error so it could actually mean “bento” (those cute little japanese meals in a box).
Considering Kira’s dialogue about her love of making home made Japanese cuisine (especially sushi), Kira might be packing lunches for Proxy and the other mercs.

Kira, Rhino, Turtle, and Fragger aren’t just the only mercs with moles on their faces, but their moles are all situated on their right cheek areas. Conspiracy?

Skyhammer’s face is unusually red, implying he might be drinking before matches.

Arty has acne on his chin and jaw area. Considering the symptoms, backstory, history and dialogue with a certain medic, it’s likely Arty was the soldier given a kidney transplant by Sawbonez in his bio. (Acne breakouts tend to happen to people who’ve had kidney transplants)

Redeye is estimated to be at least 65 years of age as his whole reason for becoming a mercenary was his eligibility for Australian pension being denied (you gotta be 65 years or older to get some retirement dosh from the oz government). He also looks good in chaps ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Wow loving all the info on this thread. I don’t have anything fancy, but anyone should’ve noticed this.

Somehow, fletcher has blond hair on his chin. I don’t know what to call it, it’s not really a goatee. The rest of his head that isn’t covered by his cap is mostly bald or you can’t discern what color it is. As far as I know it’s not possible for an african man to naturally have blond hair. Maybe he dyed it?

@bizarreRectangle Folks from Africa can have natural blonde or even orange hair, but it’s REALLY rare. Fletcher most likely dyed it to look stylish to reflect the “impossibly dapper, magnificently stylish and utterly confident West African guys” he’s based off.

Just going through the voice commands you can find the greatest details:

Nader says “I recommend another form of employment. Traffic…cone perhaps?”

Its funny cause Fragger also suggests a second career, but he also has that whole Traffic Cop analogy…

The whole Arty-Sawbonez thing furthurs because one of Arty’s calls is actually “Thank you, Sawbonez”

Also, a lot of the Mercs reference violins, namely Sawbonez, Thunder one other merc (can’t remember which) and Bushwacker references Shostakovich. And some of them reference Ballroom dancing.

Both Rhino and Turtle reference the Hagia Sofia, and both agree on how beautiful it is.

This is reaching a bit far, but…

Proxy marvels at “how she does it with fingernails that long”, and Aimee says “Ahhh, i think I chipped a nail”.

Gotta love the merc family.

Also, WTF is Javeline? First unreleased merc I’ve heard of other than Turtle…
