I wholeheartedly agree with the OP’s sentiment.
This is one of the first online shooters that suits my playstyle. TF2 is fun, but I don’t like the strafy, runny, jumpy old school shooter gameplay, I find it tiring. Brink gives me a ton of freedom and mobility, but it doesn’t get real hectic or button mashy. The classes add a couple of nice abilities, but don’t dominate your combat style. And the revive system reduces the sting of dying (at least there’s a good chance to be revived).
