Neither of which are related to gameplay.

(coolstory) #22

Yes, but they support the gameplay. In bc2 case hinder it.
I hate BC2 on PC…hit reg was f* up…

ontopic: One thing i fear is that PC version will be poor console port…
For the last time; THERE IS NO PORTING!!!

(coolstory) #24

And you’re sure cause?

(DarkangelUK) #25

Yes, Splash Damage are liars, and have been lying this whole time when they said each version has been worked on at the same time and nothing has been ported.

(Nail) #26

I expect a radical announcement on Friday

(abrain) #27

Friday april fools day! maybe a delay…:penguin:

(A.i) #28

regarding ports - because crytek kept saying that pc version was developed separately and was not hindered by consoles and then people got “press start…”, so now everyone is cautious
and just in general its hard to find a good fps pc game that was not affected by consoles

Crytek has around 580 employees.

SD has 68, unless they hired more since they last updated their people page. At SD, the left hand knows what the right is doing.

I am not sure how a number of eployees matters in information spreading, but even with 580 people crytek didn’t manage to release a proper pc game and without so many bugs…

And I’ve seen what 6-9 people can do in 9 mounths of work (hawken)

Anyway, no trust from me untill I see something solid regarding pc, just hope
I have preordered it though; I’m glad, I didn’t buy crysis 2

Your opinion is – if seller not telling a truth (or better say a bad thing) about its product, his a liar? If so -the bad news for you, 90% of people on this planet are liars, and other 10% are fools, cos only a fool will make a statement like – “my product is bad” or “yea the pc version is not a priority”. As I said before, all arguments you have so far is a words of a game developer about its project, and a good reputation of SD, and IMHO it’s not enough in this age of total PC ports. So the topics like this one will continue to emerge, till SD will show some solid PC stuff. But I don’t think this would happen, cos Bethesda is not interested in such things, there were a lot of expos and game markets, and they not demonstrated a PC version even once, so I don’t see a reason why they must do it now. U can call my vision pessimistic, but for me it’s more like realistic, if I’m wrong, I think all people on this forum will be happy, and I’m too, but until then all we can do is whine and hope for better ending.

(Shadowcat) #33

There are ways to sell your product without lying. Its part of what PR work is all about. You avoid the bad topics, point out the good ones, and answer questions in the best light possible. But never lie.

They could have easily said ‘we are working hard to support the product on all platforms’ but instead they said ‘Each platform is developed in parallel, no porting’.

LOL I love how all the doomsayers of the world think that cause a game has “Press to start” on the title screen it must be a port. It’s nothing. All it is is parity between the versions of the game to make it easier for the developers.
Why does “Press start” even make it a console game? It’s nothing to do with the platform. It’d be absolutely no different if a console game went straight into the main menu.

For Christ sake, people on here will whine just for the sake of it. Poor controls and bad optimisation are the only “port” issues I care about, and I’d bet YOUR liver that SD have both those things nailed.

(Apples) #35

Hmmmm, because each time I try to press start on my pc, weirdly it shuts down, I WANT ANSWERZ NAO!

(LyndonL) #36

Where’s the Any key?

(Herandar) #37

I never hit the start key on the consoles anyway. Usually press the A button, and the game starts!
