No, going back to default is not an option for me. I use bizarre layouts with invert mouse and all sorts of crap.
The most annoying part is due to the size of the game, I made a bug thread about it and within 12 hours it was already on page 9 in the bugs section 
So no response, not entirely sure what to do about it.
