It’s hard talking about this without a specific map in mind, but I would say that overall, there is a slight defender bias, mostly on the OG maps.
Is Dirty Bomb Defender sided
Most maps are pretty even. Bridge is the only one I have a problem with. The defenders spawn much closer to the first obj and have time to set up in position before you even reach the building, so that is a little annoying. The biggest problem with that though is that two of the entry points to the first obj’s arena are small doorways so you’re pretty limited on when and how you can push and due to the amount of cover around the first obj you can’t really clear them all back with an airstrike. I do personally feel that map needs some kind of balance change, or that perhaps the first defenders spawn point is moved back a little.
As for the other maps I don’t know. I used to think the same thing up until I had about 400 hours of gameplay. Felt it was really defender heavy most of the time. But it really isn’t. You just learn when and how to push better, and all the different ways to push based on your current teams ability. It’s just a matter of not being impatient and perhaps waiting for the second or third spawn wave before you even touch base with the obj. Take a different route and get some kills first and try and lock down the defenders main area. Half the time it feels defender heavy is because the attackers have total plebs who can’t aim and the one guy smart enough to try and be the engineer just dives onto the obj without thinking and takes bullets from all angles.
Yes, as they should be. Stationary defense will always be to the defenders advantage in any situation other than being in the middle of a circular depression in the middle of the desert.
Bridge is my bugbear as an attacker. It is poorly designed compared to the other maps as there are too many important spaces that have medium-close tight funnels. Defender positions do not have LOS for snipers or are open for artillery attacks. Even bouncing grenades is hard for attackers.
Dome seems to favour attackers, though. Too open and lots of pathways for attackers to take.
Other maps are quite good actually.
I seriously have been thinking about this while playing this past week and I’ve got to say, it feels SO MUCH EASIER to defend. Well, maybe it’s just me as a player but I prefer to play defensively any how no matter what so maybe this poll is subjective…
Eh, at certain parts of certain maps. I think the only maps with serious defender-sided problems right now are Terminal and Trainyard, the former being a complete basket case that should be erased from the history of FPS gaming and the latter being an otherwise fine map with a couple of serious flaws that could be fixed.
some map is hard easier than attaker. like bridge, bridge, bridge and bridge
but almost map are both sides easy.
Maps are severely defender biased, could be easily fixed with de-sync’d spawntimes, as we have been begging for, for a year now. But what would we know.
We were oh-so-wrong about Sparks, instagibs and pdp too.

That depends on the teams, and de-synced spawntimers is the reason objective mode is so shit. You simply cant argue imbalance when most pubs are 90% incompetents.
