ETQW had smokegrenades, I assume they were present on the console version as well. Hence it shouldn’t be much of a problem for SD to make them again, they were ok in ETQW, although they were barely used.

3rd Eye rewarded people with xp. People need to be rewarded for using smoke grenades on the right time as well.
The cloud was also a bit on the small size to truly make an impact in the game.

I actually liked it more because it provided radar and was an effective bomb. I really didn’t think of the XP part lol… smokes were always good for hacking or a precursor to rushing in as a group, but most people don’t think its useful :o.
3rd Eye was just better
I never used it…most of the time, I actually forgot they had them.
3rd eye was handy, id usually try and slap one inside the strogg nexus tower on Slipgate around the objective to give a constant radar. The enemy never found it and it was better having some insight than none at all. I’d also set one behind me when sniping to have a personal radar, if someone was coming up behind me id sprint off and detonate it, usually taking the person out or causing some damage at least.
It’s great on volcano 1st objective, you’re bound to get multikills on the hack console if you stick it to the roof
