Ah, I see. That makes more sense to me, then.
Confusion = alleviated. Much appreciated.
im sorry but brinks dead baby
i love brink, some people may call me a fanboy, but, alas, i cannot find any games online, and due to the
appalling nature of the bots i cannot play offline, i go online to play, i join one game, filled with lag, and i just got dead rising 2 and borderlands. soon Battlefield 3 beta will be coming, and as such loads of people from brink will flock to that(team based shooter, same audience) i like brink for its original ness but, heck even BF2 :MC has more players online*
Im sorry, but im leaving Brink, i shall repeat i love it for its originallity.
Also, one thing that has put me off is this: I bought the “special” edition and as such i got 2 pre order. when SD released the pre-orders i though “great! more money for DLC!” but alas, they split it in such a way, that i would have to pay twice, i payed £3 extra and my £3 could have bought all the pre-orders right now. thats right.
so STFU Brink
*they closed the servers on MC BTW
How can it be dead if plenty of people are playing it as it is, and were having NO troubles finding matches. BTW how do you even know if there’s many people playing MC and MC servers are down.
I quoted you* to show iezza that you answered his question right before he asked it again

What happened to you, man? You used to be cool…

Naw, that ended a long ways back. I am just counting down to when the next “hardcore brink fan boy” cracks
.
it’s around a month i am not playing it and i juz dont want to …
I came back to Enemy Territory. At least on publics it is funniest.
Brink is boring as hell, no bugs were fixed and the weapons balance is taking a life…
ps: wolfnemesis i dont care about your answer thank you.
I thought the fanboys were the only ones left. If you’re not a fan of the game, why contribute to the forum months after release?
Because we have been on these forums for years playing SD’s previous games to no end?
If you’re a fanboy, then where were you when we all gave suggestions while BRINK was being developed?
To be honest with you all I’ve stopped playing Brink. Its just too damn irritating to me at the moment and once a game goes from being enjoyable to downright frustrating its time to move on.
The game simply does not reward you for playing well. I can’t count the times in the last two weeks I have shot people several times up close, seen the hits, and its not made a single scratch on them. And then some herpa derpa chicken then spin shoots me with one shot each and every f’ckin time and kills me outright.
I may come back to it once the weapon tweaks are in but I am having far more fun in ET:QW at the moment.
Love Brink more than ever. My only fear is that in a few months there probably won’t be enough players to actually talk of a “community”. Its just a fear, not an expectation. But maybe then I’ll have the time to concentrate myself more on the huge amount of SP-games I’ve gathered over the last years.
I’ve tried TF2 but its not my cup of tea. Way too cartoony, too clean, too looney tunes. I need rust, dirt and all the pretty uglyness Brink provides. That’s why I never got Star Trek but I’m probably one of the biggest Alien(1979) and Aliens(1986) fans you can find. My games need to be dark dirty and brutal. But brutal in a realistic way. Not the over the top cartoony violence of Dead Rising and stuff like that. Sci-Fi + dark and dirty = eternal win.
I’ll be the “last hardcore Brink-fanboy”. As long as there is one human opponent left I’ll play that game, but I’ll never ever play an all bot match.
SD, Bethesda or the holly ghost please do something to save this IP. I have no idea of what that could be since I’m pretty sure that even if you’d realize everything the community suggested they would leave for the first “pretty girl” that crosses their path. And when I say pretty I mean “eye candy filled” and when I say girl I mean “semi realistic modern warfare fps”.
Hell SD, say something, don’t just resign. You’ve worked too hard. Maybe some guys play Brink on tournaments, but they are just the peak of the peak of the peak of the community. A community that, maybe, won’t be for much longer.
Ah, I have to type a minimum of 10 characters for the post to process. I thought this was some kind of meme or something because I see it EVERYWHERE.
Why did Crytiqal quote me and say that, then? o.o;
Was it irrelevant??
Quoted text doesn’t count towards the required 10-character minimum for a post.
Sadly Brink went wayside for me as well, I was hoping to get my hands dirty in modding. Brink is a good game but just not enough variety or to do in BRINK IMO…
