Are you implying I’m not “qualified” or “don’t have experience”? I just want to read you right so I can give you some more info on what I have done in the past that has gotten me to this position, and don’t want to make assumptions. :)
Raziel, community manager is one of the hardest jobs in online industry. Its not important your gaming background so dont listen to some people here. FireWorks is not a bad guy and Iam sure it was not personal lol nothing is personal in business right? (seller-customer) Just make sure to pop up on steam forum, post some funny things, pictures, offtopic funny discussions, join some games, give some random free merc codes (not on twitch) and majority of players will love you.
community is divided, steam is a relaxant, after hard time gaming players need ventilation and steam forum is perfect choice to post some offtopic, funny troll comments and have a lot of fun.
reddit subforums - well, be prepared its for chosen ones only, stupid admins there deleting others questions, comments etc so its more like a clan forum, not a public db forums.
warchest db forum - for me one of the nicest communities, dedicated to SD (and Iam SD fun too, I never ever played other multiplayers fps games only games made by SD
nexon - same as warchest. I love admins here. Always helpful. (give a cookie to america and ardez)

Its pretty much as I wrote up there. Nothing personal against you. The business model is in question.
I dont understand the (business) decision to put someone new to replace a person with experience, that is running a well working ship.
As others wrote, the CM is among the hardest jobs in the industry. My opinion is that it should be handled by people that know what they are doing. If people quit, you face a forced change and need new personal, ok. But to move someone from a working project to replace him with someone inexperienced leads to a grind for weeks, months or years.
Even if you, Raz, are the bestestestest person for the job, youd be at a disadvantage for a good time until you know the daily business.
But all the questions wont change the fact, that we got you as CM for DB now, so best of luck for you and your new life changing experience.
I’m really excited to be joining the Dirty Bomb team! Some of you may recognize me from running Dirty Bomb tournaments, or even watching me on Twitch.tv! If not, here’s a little about myself and my involvement with Dirty Bomb thus far…
I started playing back in alpha, around a year and a half ago. I really geared up and started playing it when it went into closed beta on Steam. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with Sawbonez and the Crotzni - but that’s a different story for another time. Around the end of April 2015, I created the Dirty Cups competitive community group for Dirty Bomb alongside @Oen and @“Sagan on Roids”. I’ve been heavily involved with Dirty Bomb and the competitive side of it because of this.
I also have a background in streaming on Twitch.tv as a partner, and heading up Nosgoth for ESL in North America. My favorite game franchises are Legacy of Kain and Metal Gear Solid series. I don’t have a lot of hobbies outside of lurking on Twitch.tv and collecting action figures (if you have a collection, let me see it!).
So to get down and dirty, I will be taking over what @MissMurder is currently doing as your community manager. I’ll continue her work, but also apply my own method to it. I have a strong ties with the competitive communities (especially Dirty Bomb), and I plan on keeping that connection and fostering you guys as much to my ability. This doesn’t mean my focus will only be on hardcore players, however. I’ll make sure everyone from 10 mins to 2000 hours of game time is heard, respected, and taken care of. Due to my past experience in livestreaming, I’d like to make more informative videos pertaining to the community and improving streams, so let me know if you have any ideas or feedback in this area.
I’m very interested in what your individual connection to the game is, whether it’s theory crafting, competitive play, gawking over @SNIFF ’s cobalt collection, or making fanart (fanfiction, for some of you). I’d like to think I know you rowdy bunch well, but I want to further that knowledge. I know you guys will always have something fun and interesting in store for me.
From here on out, if you have any questions, feedback, or ideas – for me, for the community (hint hint), or the game – I look forward to reading it, as yours truly will be there to reply! So get out there and start posting!
As a fun side note as, I will be on tomorrow’s Friday stream at 4pm PDT on the Dirty Bomb stream with @MissMurder to take questions and introduce myself properly.
Cheers from your new community manager,
Raziel Warmonic
I’m happy to hear that you are interested in competitive and making it better. Since I love the teamwork involved, it’s just amazing. (When your team works together, and than tell the Skyhammer to drop a quick airstrike, Skyhammer wipes whole team out, get’s at least 3 kills, or two… It’s beautiful. I just really love it, or you and a Fragger defending, stalling the whole enemies team, or part of it, than asking one or two teammates to flank. Wipe them all out in seconds…Man…For real, I really love it.)
Off topic, sorry about this guys, girls.
But INF3RNO, I’ve seen you around on TS3, and I have to say. I, and one of my friends, have heard legends about you being the god-ness of Sparks. I’ve actually seen you play, and top kills over 50, with little much as 10 to 20 deaths.
Question:
Do you even know how to play this game, and are you any good at it.
