B amount of damage absorbed gives C amount of exp - not in a 1:1 ratio. - thoughts on scaling exp.

Honestly, the shield in itself has plenty of utility. I for one see it as a way to block off doors and make people jump to get in. Jumping makes you an easy target cause you can’t change in mid air. I think if he’s an engineer, has a shield and relatively good health he’ll be a pretty good merc on tighter maps.

With my idea, the exp would be support, i’d assume. You’re supporting your teammates. You’re not directly contributing to the game mode, and the shield is a shield: not offensive.

@Naonna but wouldnt that give like free xp to the turtle when trying to destroy the wall ? i thought of givving x ammount of xp for y ammount of dammage IF an ally is behind the wall didnt get any dallage from the thrown bullet/explosive so it wouldnt give free xp for nothing

Objective specialist and spotting is used to make up for defensive abilities. Engineers are supposed to play defensively if they lose the objective specialist perk.

Fletcher is an exception to this rule, and is cancerous on top of that fact.

Id want turtles shield to be powerful by itself on defense, and the his offensive capability being using assualt rifles and burst rifles. I think it should give teammates 20 bonus hp on top of their max hp in a radius around it and be able to delflect bullets. It should have 1000hp and when destroyes people with then hp bonus slowly deplete in hp until they reach their normal max hp.

If you are near shield cool down of abilities are reduced by a 25% or some other number It could be great with bush skyhammer thunder phoenix stockers and others like nader and fragger
