Idea for player retention

How often did you play on avg bi-weekly? O.o I played since July 2015 and took months off at a clip and I’m already level 114 nearing 115.
I put about 300 in-match hours from June 2015 to January 2016
I’m at around 550 in-match hours today
So… that many.
I’ve played about 2 or 3 total in-match hours since last November
I don’t play that often, I rarely have time lol

Makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up even though you didn’t have to (My OCD has been satisfied).
I don’t care about colors of my weapons so much and If I’m an normal person then I think most of people don’t give a shit as well.
An exclusive merc for lvl 50/100/150 can make me play or at least you need to be lvl(?) to buy the merc(?),well something like that.

If a game is broken, you can offer all the rewards you want, people won’t play it. Look Ranked, high rewards, nobody play it.
You’re actually wrong, there’s only a 2 minute queue time average around 1:00pm EST to 3:00PM EST in EU. Ironically. Yet in NA it sucks balls. Can confirm.
This is aimed at the OP, what do you mean in terms of incentive?
Do you mean for the long haul casual game, or the competitive side?
I could care less about loadouts, they were never attractive.

A lot of what’s being suggested here has been discussed already and we have a few plans going forward to get some/similar things into the game. We haven’t spoken much about it as plans are fluid at the moment, but player retention is a serious focus for our 1.0 release.
From experience in past games, offering a reward for participation doesn’t really do much for me. On a fundamental level, if I am not having fun while playing a game, I tend to stop playing it and play something else instead. login rewards etc do nothing for me, they only matter when I feel invested in a game.
I don’t mean to trash the OP, but his idea isn’t very good. It ignores the fact that fun comes first. Why would a player who dislikes playing a game stick around to grind out a reward they don’t care about? Such incentives look like begging, because you are begging a player who isn’t having fun to stick around, and have a bad time, for an pointless reward. It is just dumb. Maybe making their core experience more fun would be a better solution? But what do I know
I remember seeing something this stupid years ago when I was in the Royal Navy. They had a big problem with retention, specifically regarding engineers (known as Artificers back then). So they offered a £25k bonus to engineers to stop them leaving. The only people who took it were the ones who were already planning on staying around (for the military pension, we called that the pension trap). The people they needed to keep, they had already made plans to leave, and they left anyway. It was a joke of a plan, a badly conceived stopgap which was nothing more than damage control. The reality was, Artificers were leaving for a variety of reasons which had nothing to do with lack of money. Those conditions never changed, which is why their plan never worked, they simply rewarded people who intended to stick around. Super dumb shit, but again, what do I know?

It’s not about participation. It’s reward for loyalty and progression. You get milestones for achievement in Steam, competitions, merc use, why not something in game that is coveted for every dedicated player?

Well to each his own. You drop the game, you stop playing for a while, it takes longer for you to achieve milestones in-game.

If you’re not having fun, drop the game altogether. Leave the rewards for the rest who enjoys it and dedicates time to advance. They’ll get rewarded for sticking around, cause that’s all there is to it really. I thought I like Overwatch, but after their Open Beta, I didn’t like it at all. I’m not getting any rewards from them, am I. But I stick to this game and I find it really rewarding not just to learn new things but impart what I learn to others who pick up the game. It’s win for all participants who progress, and that is the key element. No progress, no reward.

We intend to improve all in-game chat. Not sure what you mean by intense graphics though

BF1 runs in Frostbyte game engine.
DB runs in Unreal Engine 3
Very much to learn, you must.
but DB 1.0 can be created in frostbyte , ok
then good graphics could be added ,
very much to think , you must …

@K1X455if you don’t have a good graphics card ,
devs will gonna add low graphics settings
don’t worry mate …
My GPU was made for DX12. Potato graphic settings doesn’t make much of a difference in stress tests even with High graphic settings. I got no worries when SD steps up from DX9 to DX12. I don’t even have to overclock my GPU.
Again, get off whatever you’re smoking.
