I Wanna Make a DB Montage - Any Tips?

You can separate the audio and video of a clip also, don’t remember off the top of my head how since it’s been a while since I’ve made a video, but it’s good to know if you record using fraps or something, since it’s less resource consuming to record with the audio and video dysnced and just syncing it up later in vegas.

That would be the U button, G button is to group everything up.

S-key to cut clips quickly.
Hold Ctrl + drag the end or beginning of a clip to quickly lengthen or shorten it (slomo/FF)
Right click > group > clear, to move/delete the audio or video tracks of your footage separately
Right click video > properties > disable resample (repeat for every video clip in your project) for greatly improved image with no ghosting (can be done with some kind of scripts too, but I haven’t looked into that yet)

Sony Vegas Pro is a pretty easy software to understand, though if you want a legit copy it’s rather expensive.

To that end I recommend Adobe Premiere, only 30 bucks a month.
