It is pretty sad to be honest, cheating is a kid’s game, I did that when I was playing on the NES and Gameboy, not in a competitive game.
I Cannot Believe This Exists
Well the good news is that since the new AC was introduced the frequency of cheaters/hackers I see the on public servers dropped dramatically. About 95% so, I would maybe see 1-2 in a week now, on top of a few instances of players on both teams helping to successfully vote kick. Hopefully eventually most the hackers/cheaters will lose interest once another new game comes out to draw their attention. Cough overwatch cough. :#
Even better news, I can successfully start a vote kick against cheaters…
Kicked one out last night, made me pretty damn happy.
Yeah, so far every game that’s had an aimbot in it has met with them being booted pretty quickly.
I’ve only seen one blatant since the new AC - by not playing too much these days I guess - and we kicked the guy pretty fast. Was funny, he was begging the whole time saying “free win guys!”.
Ya that only works if enough people actually vote to kick the person.
In game tried to kick a blatant aimbot user (one shot head shots with a hand gun from across the map and through walls, the works) but the votes were failed due to people wanting an easy win.
I for one am looking forward to the in-game report system lets hope the reports are actually taken seriously and investigated and not just filed and forgotten
a link to a hacker forum I assume, where programmers collaborate to evade Anti-Cheat and ruin the games of people who just wanted to enjoy something.

It was actually a hack selling site the actual post linked was for a bundle of about 20 different working Dirty bomb hacks for about £9
Don’t really understand how shutting down hacking sites is breaking the freedom of speech I mean if freedom of speech is being harmed if you shut a website that downloads a third party program that gives you a significant illegal advantage over other players, then shit.
They aren’t technically ‘illegal’. The problem is where do you draw the line with that train of thought. I’d much rather freedom of speech be enforced than people have the right to take down websites because it clashes with something they offer or want.
Uhmmm since dirty bomb is the property of splash damage shouldn’t they be able to remove any software related to the game from google?
They may be able to have google remove the results but I doubt it. They definitely can’t have the site taken down though, meaning all it takes is another site to point to it and it was all for nothing.
Yeah, but it still gets annoying. Before they get botted and kill you like 2,000 times, your team already got a big disadvantage .-.

Yes, this is true. But it’s been true for 20 years. If you play online FPS games you just have to know that sometimes your game is going to get screwed up by a cheater.
Also, I’ve only seen 2 aimbots since NGS was put in. And that’s with that same group of cheaters all targeting DB still. Both were kicked within a couple of spawn waves.
Well if it’s bad enough that it was hurting their ability to maintain a playerbase or the game as a whole it could be argued it is hurting their business by being allowed to continue as a source for these problems. Beyond that, though, I would have to agree it would be near impossible to make much of a case of it sadly. With the amount of complaints they recieved on the number of hackers though I wouldn’t see it as too far-fetched for them to make a case of it.
