QuakeWars didnt get the bestest OMGZ 11/10 scores but i loved dat game. same goes with lots of other games. couldnt care less about reviews. and IGN are the worst

I’ll be ignoring all the scores when the game comes out. I’ll be too busy having fun to really pay attention to all the trolls trying to compare BRINK to any other fps game out there, and saying it doesnt bring anything new to the table.

I lol at all the review sites and such, most of the ppl doing reviews are ppl that play the game once for one afternoon with a standard soldier, setup and probably dont even see the full potential a game has, another thing is these guys will habe thier own opinions and everyone’s opinion is different, i hate battlefield and would’nt recommend it, does’nt mean its crap its means i just dont like it. so review sites are mostly for ppl that can’t think for themselves or don’t realise scores mean bugger all. some of the best films i’ve seen inthe past were the worst scored, probably because the reviewer did’nt see boob.

I just don’t get this logic. Splash Damage are VERY proud of all the awards Brink has received by the gaming press. Now you are saying the same people which gave these awards are idiots and don’t know what they are talking about?

If reviews came out complaining about serious hardware compatibility problems (like Black Ops with PS3) then I might consider their opinions. Otherwise, nothing for it but to try the game.

MW2 and BO got some pretty high scores. That’s what can be said about how reliable review scores are. We all already know that there are review sites out there cough IGN cough that are complete COD fanboys and would deduct an automatic 20 points just because COD wasn’t in the title, and then deduct an additional 500050 points because it’s nothing like COD.

Most people around here, myself included, don’t have much problem being countercultural elitist pricks about, say, CoD or TF2. Potential bad reviews won’t change much.

It would make me think twice but I’ve been looking forward to Brink for so long I’d have to try it, Gamestation kindly do a 10 day return in the UK.

However any early reviews should be discounted imo, its an online centric game, so reviewers really need to play it with the general gaming public before that rate it.
