how to earn new limited edition card ?

I really hope that there are different levels of probability how to get those skins. Highest probability is for a lobby of 5, then lobby of 2, then in the end single players. With a bonus for winning a match.

This would be a nice incentive for people to group up and really playing as a team. Even inexperienced players could form teams and can meet other inexperienced teams with both having somthing to win.

If it is the same chance ranked will be flooded by players just sitting the match out to get a chance for a ranked skin.

Hopefully this the point in time DB finally steers away from individual players just running around on servers to a team based game.

Honestly I’d rather they don’t make them too hard to get. If they do, people may not see it as worth playing ranked to get.
I’d rather they just do simple special edition drop cases. At most only on wins

You will get ranked currency by playing or winning ranked games. You can buy 100% cases with this currency.

@Jostabeere Is this just an assumption based on the christmas event? And if not, where did you read it?

I’d be intereseted as well where that info sprang from

The noobs should be sorted in lower ranks after a few matches if everything goes right, so they wouldn’t even meet actual players in ranked - and everybody will have a better experience.

My problem with reward only for winning is that it increases the frustration of losing even more, which is never a good thing - sometimes people do their best, and still lose.
Higher drop chance for the winning team is a better solution imo.

Or, if they continue with the “special currency” thing like humbucks, both teams get some, but the winning team gets more.

Other than me i wonder how pissed people will get if we play 100%ranked games no other modes and wait in lonng wait times and end up with no cards at end of event.

Not saying that all lvl7 players are clueless, but a lot of them certainly are. I usually stick to min lvl servers to avoid bad teammates, but even there are a lot of medics who start defusing instead of reviving the engi, vassilis sitting in spawn, engineers ignoring the objective, etc.

It takes 300k XP from level0 to level 7, and you are allowed to play in max lvl servers, where you can get 10-15k XP average (meaning you need 20-30 games to reach lvl7) applying one the following strategies:

  1. Operation Aura: Drop health station somewhere not completely in the open, and ignore wounded/incapped teammates. Your job is to get as much shotgun kills as possible. If this is too hard, try the second one:
  2. Operation Proxy: Run around like a headless chicken, and drop a mine as soon as it is available. Ignore the enemies, you are only allowed to suicide repair/arm C4. If you are hardcore, you can shoot your own mines, but nothing else. Note that there are lvl30+ players who still do this. Or if you are a pacifist, try the 3rd method:
  3. Operation Skyhammer: discover the magic power of ammo packs! Noobs use a lot of ammo, and don’t drop packs, so this earns you also a lot of ammo badges. Calculating with an average of 50 XP/pack thrown, 300k XP needed for unlocking ranked takes 6000 pack throws. Without extra supplies it takes 48000 seconds = 13,3 hours only from the packs, but you may also hit something with the airstrike marker or even the M4, and also get “fire support” XP bonus if your teammates do stuff after you resupplied them.

expect clueless level 7 wandering around with no particular place to go

There was a lvl6 trying to go through a locked door on Bridge… unfortunately, I was too busy reviving the rest of the team to care enough to video it.
