How can I prevent SuddenDeath in BaseRace Beta2

mappers’ opinions about the cognitive ability of the average players is a whole chapter in the book on mapping

Hi all!

Any news on this one? Have u made a usable fix?

I’ve tried the same thing, at it worked partially. But the server crashes when it’s supposed to change to next map after basereace… I didn’t manage to find out why. I also tried to use playsound, but with no luck (I’m noob as hell on this type of programming).

Any idea why the server crashes? Only thing I can think is logic is that the game isn’t ended propper, and that makes some kind of problem when the next map/match is loaded/started…

I have it working as I describe above. It does not take a download, as I am using ETPro and the following command to redirect to mapscripts.
b_mapscriptdirectory undefined Defines the directory to look for default .cfgs and map scripts when the map loads.
So I just put the modified script file in the above directory of the server. It has been working great since I made the number of modifications described above, just does not give a sound at the end. I may try that next, but the script itself seems to be working fine.

I also did the same changes to another duel objective map and it works great as well, no suddendeath overtime, wins in a tie if time runs out.

Seem’s it works perfectly on my EtPro server  Think I’ll just leave it be on the shrub, as the next version will support SW.

Hello,
Sorry no work around that I’m aware of but the next
version will work in stopwatch. ^^

The following link is the script file I modified if anyone wants it. Put this file in etpromapscripts of the ETPro directory of your server.
baserace_beta2.script

I’m really glad to contribute, because this is (as Ive told Triscuit many times) a great map. I’m sure alot of you agree on that. The playability and the attention to details is simply teh elite.
