Hitsounds plz!
Quake 3 called them hitsounds, I’ll die before I change!
I think people mean the ‘thud’ noise you sometimes get during midfight. But certainly does not represent a proper hitsound in my opinion. Yes being able to add your own client side soundpacks would be very nice <3 the ET hitsounds.
But tbh it is just another feature that they have stripped off Brink from previous games like ETQW
would much rather alot more customizable HUD first… in terms of crosshair choices/colour (so we can clearly see what we are aiming at) and removing alot of the on screen clutter, just like the choices you had in ETQW.
Isn’t there enough visual feedback, like the decreasing health bar above their head? the little red ring around the crosshair when you damage someone? The ‘thump’ noise when you damage someone?
To be perfectly honest, I would rather forgo the healthbar in place of hitsounds. I prefer the mind game that comes with not knowing the current state of an enemy and would rather know my aim is true and not just blind spray.
The funny thing is they didn’t include hitsounds when quake wars first came out. There was massive cry out for them then they added them… now please tell me why they made the same mistake again.
actually thinking again it could have been in the beta they didn’t include them, but same difference.
Already mentioned by SockDog above, but…
Will Brink allow for custom client side sound packs that won’t make it fail a “pure” validation?
If not for all sounds, more specifically will custom hitsounds be allowed?
Pretty please :D
This just confirms that atm BRINK is incomplete/beta state!
Ho wait, beta means that you have all the feature ready, it’s currently an alpha!
