steel-jaw trap

edit addition : Making them stealthed or with camouflage texture could fit to the game
maybe only deployable in soft terrains (sand, mud, ect…)
Would be so funny to see someone traped in these strugling in it
Only one team Medic could liberated him IF hes not killed before:wink:

[/QUOTE]

Good idea. Did you ever play Lead and Gold? The sniper class could lay bear traps like this. Sniping people that had strayed into your traps was great fun

(tokamak) #23

In No One Lives Forever 2, everyone could lay those traps (and much more), and everyone did, and all games were basically one big lethal practical joke fest.

I miss that game.

I want the Field Ops to have the equivalent of the Rockstedi in Brink.

Infrared glass

Or

"When hunting for terrorists, seeing them before they see you is a must.

Regular night-vision goggles are good, but not good enough. Sure, they let a soldier see at night as well as he would by day – but they don’t let him see any better. That just changed.

A new device developed over seven years by Optics1 gives warfighters “Predator”-style vision to better tag those terrorists and other threats. Only recently made available, the COTI (Clip On Thermal Imager) adds the ability to see thermal signals to to existing night-vision devices.

The human eye sees light with a wavelength between 400 and 700 nanometers, while a night-vision device may see up to around 900, closing in on the infrared range. The COTI amps the warfighter’s vision into a whole different spectrum – giving the soldier souped up, super vision.

COTI’s long-wave infrared technology allows a warfighter to “see” even in pitch-black or no light conditions. By using an 8- through 10-micron range, it can give the user “sight” in spite of smoke, foliage, fog, rain and other conditions where standard devices provide only limited capability.

While basic camouflage can defeat ordinary night-vision devices, it can’t fool the COTI’s ability to detect thermal sources. It can even identify whether a vehicle or a room has been recently occupied by “seeing” residual heat signatures. Arguably even cooler, it can spot hand- and footprints invisible to the naked eye…"

Link ---->M26 /X26 Taser Gun

Taser is operated primarily by law enforcement officers, but in recent years it is augmenting other sidearms as a non lethal weapon. For military applications of Taser is now enhanced with an X-Rail mount, which enables integration of Taser gun with M16…

In combination with smoke grenades.

That’s one of my favourite Raven Shield tactics. Take a heat sensor on your sniper rifle, throw smoke near the enemy so they feel safe and then pick them off.

Of course they learn and after a few rounds they won’t come near the smoke at which point the smoke is great to advance through with an assault rifle.

Players keep play as if it’s the previous game, and that’s how R6 consistently rewards players who are one step ahead. If you take the initiative this way they keep learning through trial and error and keep making mistakes until you’ve won all the rounds.

No, if you’ve played BF3 you know this is horribly overpowered and stupid :stuck_out_tongue:

You maybe right
http://bf3blog.com/2011/11/battlefield-3s-infrared-scope-getting-balanced-out/

The infrared scope in Battlefield 3 is a powerful accessory that make it incredibly easy to pick out enemies — too easy, according to many players, who have complained about the IRNV’s abilities. DICE has listened to the complaints and confirmed in an interview with GameSpy that the scope will be balanced out in the upcoming patch. According to DICE Karl Magnus Troedsson:
“Based on player feedback, we have made some tweaks to the IRNV scope to make it more balanced with the rest of the accessories in the game.”
Troedsson added that they take all balance feedback seriously, but are careful not to overreact. The IRNV scope can be unlocked for most rifles, sniper rifles, SMGs and shotguns, and provides a wide field of view of the battlefield where enemies easily stand out

I never played MP, but the NOLF games are some of my all time favorites.

While ingame overpass the chating system …
Private messaging a selected Team mate…
or just call your GF and tell her How you love her

A projectile/melee style assassin loadout for covey could be very interesting if done right.

Also thinking it would be cool to have a new rifle weapon type that functions like the m1garand in ET (firing/accuracy/etc).

If I were THRON and had no amo I would like to have some of these:
boomerang-blade (never go out of them as its coming back (hopefully blades retracted …ouch)to player)

Freddy Krueger’s Glove (could be a replacement for knife for certain class)

(DarkangelUK) #33

I loved the FG42 from ET, I’d like a mid to long range scoped gun with high damage but low clip

(Bloodbite) #34

I would like to see a complex loadout system implemented. An evolution of what Brink was doing.

I want my attachment choices to not only be class specific but factional too. I want my attack engie to be different in appearance and ironsight attachments, for example, than my defence engie.

Although that said, I would hope many of the areas that can be customised and ultimately purchasable are cosmetic/comfort options only. Like choosing between a red dot or standard irons… no buffs, just whichever one you feel you shoot better with.

Weapon choices… I liked how you could flip between your limited options ingame, in the limbo menu like in W:ET. But I didn’t like having to reset to my preferred starting weapon each time I re-elected to spawn as that class having just played as another. That is where I see it being most valuable. Less time spend screwing around but still the power to adapt if need be.

(tokamak) #35

This guy

Three sets of akimbo pistols (under 1,2 and 3 keys), use and reload however you like. No other weapons.

(iwound) #36

silenced mp4a1 i think with slow rate of fire poss semi auto.

a more powerful louder pistol. shiny & custom decal
duel pistols.
smoke grenades instead of flash.
trip mines
sticky mines. attach to whoever steps near, no escape.
molotovs.

[ol]
[li]bring back the sten or fg42 (for a combination of both close and long range) for the covie so he doesn’t always have to be a sniper added with satchel charges and smoke.
[/li][li]emp nades would be nice to disable mines and sentries for a couple of seconds for maybe the fops, give him more things to do or covie.
[/li][li]Not sure the idea of having molotov’s included would be balanced as they would cut off a key area ( imagine having molotov’s thrown all over supply depot phase2 gate, you wouldn’t be able to get a plant down) and it’ll most likely be a special grenade so it recharges over time rather than having the fops resupply them.
[/li][li]AT rocket so it does the most damage to the tank or other armoured units but less to players ( reduced realism for more balanced gameplay since the server size is smaller (16slot) to ET (64 most ran 32 but we’ll go with the highest amount) or AT grenades ( RO2 had these).
[/li][li]Forward spawn item for the fops to install somewhere (CP equivalent) destroyed by engy c4 and covie satchel
[/li][/ol]

(Dragonji) #38

This description fits to M1 Garand, not FG42 ^^

(zenstar) #39

+1.

I’m a terribad sniper but would play the covie if I could use him as a sneaky frontline troop rather than a sniper. I’m hoping that one of the class options in the future will be more wetworks and less long range.

(Volcano) #40

The game feels substantially faster than ET (to me anyway) so having the covie dedicated to just sniping is going to be gimping the class
