FF on and synced timers in CMM

Also the explanation for having CMM 6vs6 is not really valid. It’s 6vs6 because if someone drops a 6vs5 is more balanced than a 5vs4. Actually it is not that much more balanced and you still get players backfilling the vacated spot. Kind of strange, that 5vs4 in a casual gamemode in which there is a possibility for a backfill is not an option but in a competitive environment without the possibility of a backfill it is ok.

I know this is off-topic, but I would add backfill to ranked as well, in a way that the player filling the empty spot can’t lose ranks (most likely the team with one less player has a disadvantage)

Didn’t think this way.

EZ solution: getting kicked would apply the same penalty as of now, and losing ranks as well

Ranked doesn’t need to be more popular than casual though. It doesn’t even need to be 50/50. Why can’t players just play what they want? Like, seriously. It’s a game, not a job. People play it to have fun. If they have fun playing casual, let them. If they have fun playing ranked, let them. If more people would rather play casual than ranked, so what? Ranked isn’t “suffering” because of casual. It’s suffering because it’s broken.

Because developers have to support their game. That’s half the reason they cut EXE to begin with; it takes too much effort and manpower to ensure all of the modes are balancing correctly. It takes too much effort to develop assets that function differently across the modes.

Because developers are creating a focused game, designed to give users an experience. This isn’t like Garry’s Mod, it’s not a game designed around “build your own mode!” and playing what you want.

Because players should be able to play what they want. So if they want a medium TTK 5v5 FF On shooter, they can turn on DB. If they want to play something else, they can turn on something else. As soon as you start trying to diversify your game to be a catch-all, you lose cohesion in your design and the game suffers.

It’s already easy to see that right now, and it was a problem with EXE too. When they got rid of it, there were players who only wanted to play DB for that mode. That shouldn’t be the case; and they knew it. All of the players in your game need to enjoy the same thing, that way your updates, changes, and fixes will apply to all players, and everyone will feel like their game is getting some attention.

They SHOULD be able to play casual if they want. But Casual should be the same game, without Ranking. CASUAL. It doesn’t make sense to make casual be something different.

But there’s not any sense talking about it. You think there should be 2 or 3 different games in DB, we don’t. There’s no sense arguing about it.

And please god, edit your quotes to just the relevant text so these walls stop.

TBO CMM was the worst thing that happened to me from my experience in this game. It took something as simple as finding a US East obj server in 2 seconds and connecting in 5. To having to find a game with unspecified regions in a 5 or more min greater wait Que.

We have ranked, CMM isn’t needed. For solo players like me it makes finding a game a pain in the balls. Hell i play in mosco just to avoid the wait ques.
