The book “Eye of the Needle” by Ken Follett is all about a nazi spie trying to find out about the Pom’s desception. They built up the dummies of Ships, barracks, Tanks, etc… and the Nazi’s never found out the truth. The pom’s tried to make the nazis think that the normandy landings where aimed at Pas de Calais but I am unsure where the dummes where located (south eastern england)

Kent mostly. The english also created fake ‘secret’ radio broadcasts concerning it, and fed known spies false information, as well as creating false plans that they dumped on corpses which they dumped in the ocean in places where the Axis forces were likely to pick them up.

its originality to the map “Oasis” of SD is impressive!
