FAQ for new players?

All the work I’ve done so far on the FAQ has gone to waste thanks to the impending update due this week. Not sure when this FAQ will be ready. There’s a chance it won’t even be finished if these changes are just not to my taste.

Sorry you feel that is the case, but I imagine you’ll still find the majority of it is relevant. Unfortunately during alpha games tend to change a lot, maybe we should have spotted this a given you a heads up but we are pretty busy right now and missed it :frowning:

I’ve seen games in Beta go through more drastic changes than this, I’m not sure why HUGE changes come to a surprise to most in a Alpha test.

At least I know that Jonny saw it (he replied earlier in this thread). I’m aware games change drastically, but I’ve never taken part in an alpha (or beta) where the game goes from being class-based to having agnostic objectives.

I would love to pick your brains in a 1 to 1 on why this change has been made, going from class-based gameplay to having agnostic objectives. Just a total u-turn :frowning:

What Anti said. All toons will have C4 and pliers. Not sure why that destroys your FAQ.

You have your answer there, picking a class is redundant just because one may do a certain action faster is meaningless. While you are at it nobody plays medic as much in pubic games. How about expanding on that idea and give all toons C4, pliers & Defibs?

Because I went into great detail about how the classes fit into the game’s objectives, explaining their roles and when they could be useful supporting other objective classes.

You never know, the changes might be terrible and they could revert back to class specific objectives.

I suggest just getting something posted now instead of trying to create a final, complete document before posting. Just create a post with the most basic stuff and we can expand and edit from there.

I really hope this FAQ contains the case where an over-motivated medic revives you 5 times in a row in front of 10 enemies, stopping only after you finally get gibbed with 5 deaths more on your score.
