Just my 2 cents, usually not a good idea to change a competitive event the day of the event. Looks like there are 15+ people signed up and might confuse quite a few of them.

Did you read the other posts? There’s a huge update being released today for the game, the lead commentator is not available, and this is only a fun organised game among people who know each other. You are relatively new here so I know you’re probably not familiar with these. This isn’t much of an issue.

If people want to play tonight then come on teamspeak. It will not be a cup and it will not have me casting.

I will not be able to cast for a few weeks it seems. Nor will I be able to play. I can help run things but if regs on TS can make sure things go smoothly that would be awesome. Sorry for my leave, couldn’t come at a more annoying time with exciting updates and casts to be done! :frowning: I will hopefully join you guys soon!

Does the update prevent us from playing? Not entirely sure.

If the cup is for fun, why are there commentators at all? If the commentator isn’t available for a planned event but everyone else is, why do we change the date for one person who’s not even playing?

Sure, I’m new, and this isn’t really that big of a deal and I’m not trying to make anyone angry, just giving “my 2 cents.”

update is just update, when it’s done play on, but you’ll have to update to play

it’s not really a tournament, it’s a pug to try establish baselines for “Echo” among other things like a bunch of fun, some people cast them, a, because they like to cast and b, because there are new spectator features to try out, but data would be skewed with new patch and as most of these guys have been playing together for months, it’s easy to bounce dates

It’s difficult to explain to you why it’s not a big deal for it to be changed as it’s happened in the past because you’re new and aren’t familiar with how these events are run. That’s all.
