I think, with around 8 teams turning up, we have enough for the first one day cup event for extraction. I hope we find more out about NDA stuff soon so we can see if there is a way to show other closed BETA players the semi finals/Finals. Hopefully they give us a great game or two to slap up on youtube for people to view. As someone who plays games for the competitive side of things. The first thing I do before playing scrims is watch a few video’s to try get my head around the way to play.

therse classes arent overpowert.
shotgun is only< in close fights usefull and sniper is in a cup not a big deal

No. No. No.

Restrictions should be avoided for the following reasons:

  • This is a test, not a finalised game. We need to show how prominent imbalances are by having no restrictions.
  • Restrictions create divides between pub play and competitive play. I (and I think everybody else who is into comp play) wants to have the easiest cross-over for newcomers from pub to comp. And I think I speak for absolutely EVERYBODY, when I say we need the game to be balanced well from release.

So no… no restrictions.

from last drafts we did use restrict for 2 fops and yet we played with 1 most of the time
cuz other classes are more needed.
i dont think we’ll see 5 fops team

Agree with Seanza, comp restrictions are introduced because of imbalance.

The ideal would be complete balance and no restrictions and we’re in a unique position to be able to provide the feedback to achieve this.

I agree with Seanza. Introducing restrictions now, when the characters and weapons aren’t finalized seems somewhat redundant. I do understand peoples wishes to see such a system being used as it stands right now though.

Class restrictions this early on in an Alpha/CBT cup would be a bad move. Glad to see it won’t happen.

To end this discussion now. Rules will be made with a select group of players but I can reveal no class restrictions will be in place. No need for polls or to continue with this right now as it would be too hard to manage without the direct cvars in place. To avoid Amy issues this is the best solution for now. Rules will be posted soon.
