Not quite sure what you mean, might be having a blonde moment (lol).

HDET is not really good. It’s just pack of software upscaled textures and added some bumpmapping…
Better idea is to make real new HD textures, like we tried in ET:XreaL.
It looks a bit better without having GB of textures.
I meant HDET isn’t auto-downloaded because it is in etmain and without a .campaign file inside. So if the client has it AND the server has it as well, client will autoload the package on client side (The Textures); If the server doesn’t have it but the client yes, client will not load the “HD” textures; If only server has it, client will not download it; If both doesn’t have it, np.
That’s sad news. This mod had the potential to bring new blood to Enemy Territory. Maybe iDan and Nitrox will get back to it after Nitrox returns from France. Six months is not such a long time.
I myself didn’t predict this, I had many months free time to work on it, but I could only finish it with help of a ‘pro’. Nitrox was unable to actually submit code for months (well code needed). He needed to get Nitmod released & visit friends before he left, and my skills lack so I had to stop.
Currently I won’t have any free time, and I can’t see myself in the near future. I have 3 months to prove myself for a career and I need to focus on this first, my one and only shot.
Sadly real life comes into play, and hobbies have to stop. I’m hoping someone can grab it & finish the final edition.
Ethr is a member of the team & he might even take it on (he codes for Google so NP :P).
If you want to take it on, feel free to message me here.
Regards
Dan
Agreed, this is sad. Predictable ? I do not know, it seemed promising, although i never understood the concept behind it. What should i do as zombie for example. Swinging knifes all the time xD ?
Also, what i do not understand is how you can feel demotivated with so much of a community behind. Well then i guess, up in the trash with this mod.
P.S. and pshhh, DayZ is the sh.it

It’s not motivation, it’s having the time. I currently have little time and the time I do have is spent on other things, hence handing it over to someone else.
Are you bull****ting back to me because of what I said about this project? Read my signature…
Here you have the news about his mod =D
Quite rude.
Sshhhhh, Shownie is an Artist ;)…strange kids…err, people;)
Please enlighten about this matter of being a strange kid because of what I do. Do you assume that a mod is being developed just with programming? A graphics artist may not be that necessary for a mod but it is definitely needed.
Sad about ET:Z, really it is. But just abandon it because of no time right now, postpone it instead, it wont be the same if others are taking over it. Perhaps more than one team wants to finish it it, then we would have 2 ET:Z with the same base.
Anyways, strange kids here I assume so why even bother
You’ve a guy asking for progress on your mod, and you’re screaming at him. That’s why nonoMapper said it was a childish behaviour.
If you answer this way when people is interested in your project, you’ll be the single one playing it… Clearer?

It’s not about postponing it, for the next x amount of years I WILL NOT have the time to complete it. Nitrox will also of lost motivation at the end of his trip/job thing in France.
I had to say now as someone NEEDS to take it on as I can’t see myself doing it.
It’s a real shame as there’s SO MUCH potential in this code, and I feel that someone with the right skills can continue to progress the game nicely.
There’s only a small amount that needs fixing/changing (compared to what we’ve done already).
This is from ETMAIN & in many ways brings it up to date as any other mod out there & adds more to the game than ETPRO does (regarding cvars & customisation).
IF YOU WANT TO CARRY ON PLEASE MESSAGE ME ON HERE

The amount of bull****ting others projects here on this forum is high. What I assume since there are childish behaviour here was that his post was in now way meant for his own interest, instead just because I said this project was predictable to the grave before it was finish. It is quite proven already that the majority of this forum despite my mod, so why should I even take such a post serious right after my reply?
I don’t ask for any progress, I don’t scream at anyone. This is exactly what I mean. You assume I yell and bla bla because I simply reply to a question for me?
