as for sound packs that uses sounds from games other than from ET… I for one had contacted ID software’s xian… since I was the creator of the RTCWMOD I thought I would see what the terms were for using sound from RTCW… anyhow my response wasnt just a no I wasnt allowed to use them… but a BIG no… lots of legal issues involved… especially with Activision who produced RTCW… so disclaimer is needed if you plan on using these sounds… id/activision can very well go after you for reverse engineering their game and putting out copies of it to those who dont own RTCW… same thing goes for maps…thus one of the many legal problems with why Splashdamage cant release RTCW maps like Tram for ET
