no, what i’m saying is that if the contest is about frags as you said, comp players would win. It’s not about frags.

It’s about epic* frags. No it’s not all about the frags, I said that. Regardless, it quite clearly comes down to personal preference. I enjoyed one video more than the other, and you inversely.

Since there were a lot more submissions this time, here are some ideas/suggestions to make future epic kills contest a little different and more inclusive:

  • Post the thread on Reddit and accept submissions through the comments. That way, the best/favorite videos will naturally bubble to the top.
  • Have different categories instead of 1st/2nd/3rd place. Some example categories: Best Overall, Nexon Favorite, SD Favorite, Fan Favorite (most upvoted on Reddit), Best Editing, Most Skillful, Most Creative, Funniest Moments, Best Newcomer, etc.
  • Promote a theme that isn’t required but will give more points, for example: Long Lives (lots of kills without a death), Multi-kills (killing multiple enemies with one ability/shot), Mid-air (killing enemies in mid-air), Trickjumps, etc.
  • Pick a day to watch the most upvoted videos on Twitch stream. It’d be different and give the video creators some recognition even if they don’t win.

Thanks @“Sagan on Roids” excellent ideas. It was hard to choose for sue but the team put a lot of thought into it. Everyone did a great job.
