Hi,
I have downloaded a evelator from this website (http://www.wolfmap.de/files.php?cat_id=47&order_id=1). please can you let me know who made this and would i be able to use it in my map. i also need help with it. Thanks Nevloow

The first one is made by kaforsven, the second is made by wezelkrozum - have a look at the readme.
They are released as prefabs - so it shouldent be a problem using them - remember to mention it in your map_readme.

(nevloow) #104

yeah but i compiled and tested the map. i didnt have some of the shaders and textures so they just turned up orange and black. also the elevator didnt open or work.

(Manwhore) #105

Of course. How could ET recognize textures and a script it hasn’t got?
Might wanna extract the textures in the elevator’s zip- or pk3-file to the Textures map of C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etmain (if you haven’t got such a map already, make one).

Also, the zip or pk3 should include a .script file. Extract this one to the “maps” file in C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etmain (if you haven’t got such a map already, make one, too).

(At mine elevator)
Well, the problem is… The zipped file ends with .zip in stead of .pk3. You need to extract the files in your etmain folder. Then all the files are readable for the game-engine.

(btw, I don’t know why its a .zip. .pk3 will be easier)

or just rename .zip to .pk3, thats what i do, since its actually the same as zip
