Leave it in, and have as a server rule so you can set it to off. Or even better have class based objectives a grenade in every mercs pouch, friendly fire and no health regeneration all wrapped up in it’s own separate game mode! Me I am not bothered, the way the game is and the direction it is heading, the health regeneration mechanic fit’s the game as it currently stands. That and you are going to open a can of worms, pissing about trying to balance it, something best left to latter.
Best suggetion I can think of? Sick it in the mode I suggested above post release and sort it out after the main game is fine tuned.
I don’t care that much (well I actually care a bit) but if I had to choose I would say no, because having no regen will force more teamplay. That being said, revive isn’t that great I think at the moment so it may compensate.
Health regen is challenging because there is a class (medic) that can address the healing needs of the team quite well. Maybe a slow regen, but nothing more significant than a top off so to speak, or none at all.
The other side of this is, by not allowing some self sufficiency in terms of healing, than you NEED a medic, which could be considered forcing class choice.
Overall though, I think it would be fine to have no passive healing.
Yes pls disable health regen. This just doesn’t make any sense. atm you don’t need medics at the defense because you regen between the spawns…
Fairly sure that’s not what he meant, though it’s worded a bit oddly for someone that speaks English as a second language. I read it as a “challenging argument for having it”.
Still health regen should take much longer than it does and the first kick in should only really take you to 25hp instead of 50hp. Of course you could still just respawn for full health, so having regen isn’t necessarily bad- but having the regen occur so quickly like it does currently just hurts the medic’s primary role, which is very bad. If it get’s refined as proposed, then I wouldn’t really care if it existed.

Perhaps I should have been more clear. Health regen as a concept can be a challenging one.

Health blocks bug me a little. Throwing three packs on the ground and strafing around them firing is one of my most hated tactics.
