Dirty Bombs Next Gamemode...

(mccrorie) #21

This. I cannot take them seriously when it takes so long to produce maps. This a multiplayer shooter, not a narrative driven shooter with a lifelike world to flesh it out.

yah, the nerve of those level designers just sitting around eating cakes all day instead of working on maps

(Shadwblade2652) #23

So the real challenge here is coming up with a gamemode that’s unique to dirty bomb and is entertaining.

(ispellcorrectly) #24

No, the challenge would be to get SD to implement it.

Deathmatch.

So tired of joining other games

give zero ****s about obj

(BomBaKlaK) #26

Only game mode I wanna see is baserace !

(Nail) #27

I always thought baserace was a map, not a mode

(BomBaKlaK) #28

It’s a mode but with only 1 map, cause they didn’t make anymore maps for this mod.
Imagine this mode with maybe 3 maps !!! :stuck_out_tongue:

since i played tribes ascend, i kind of fell in love with the tribes typical ctf mode. ctf in general is pretty great but i never played it in quake 3 (live). so, ctf for dirty bomb would be great.

Got lots of game modes coming out here!

I would like to see the following;

Instead of the character leveling up in game, I would like to see a side game which is like the Sims!
Let me build my house, walk my dog, even play Dirty Bomb on my PC. I want to go to work and sleep in game and then, maybe, play the first person shooter it’s meant to be!

(kenpokiller) #31

HELL YEAH . Same.

I’m surprised Maxlives wasn’t the first custom gametype tbh. I’d love to see it return in DB.

To be honest, I don’t want to see all these kinds of generic ‘fun’ modes in Dirty Bomb as it just cuts into the player pools. Maybe later when a lot more people are playing.

Don’t get me wrong though, I think it’s a nice idea although very generic and done a zillion times. It’s possible to create a sort of variation of the suggestion, but I’d rather not see it like a TF2 like mode.

I don’t know whether this comment was sarcastic or not, but I’d would like to note that level-designing is quite hard to do and pretty time consuming if you want the map to be balanced for both teams. And then I’m just talking about blocking out the map with all the main features and not even all the details and such. It takes a lot more effort than people think.
