Did You Use Mumble Overlay Before the EAC Update?

(LifeupOmega) #21

I have major difficulties seeing the default crosshairs, so I was pretty much forced into using overlays so I could have a distinct one that I didn’t lose when playing.

I’ve used mumble crosshairs in the past but didn’t for the last 3 months or so, as I used just a dot anyways and couldn’t be bothered to start up another program to play.

Basically I’m lazy as fuck, same reason I don’t use a custom config anymore.

Cant vote and no my kid used it for a few min but never used it again

What the fuck is Mumble

#26

Mumble is a voice communication tool like TeamSpeak or Discord.
It has an overlay function which many people used to have their desired crosshair.
However now that EAC is in place that doesn’t work anymore.

By the way, I did use Mumble and now I switched to PlayClaw since that works.

Zzzz first game in two weeks (as I’ve been away) playing without mumble and what an absolute zzzz.

Literally unplayable for me going from a thick circle with a gap in the middle to some little tiny dot on screen that disappears when I ADS.

Is there any word on a) When the crosshair staying while ADS update will actually come out, b) Will we still only be able to choose between the two in game crosshairs? (I hate both). I mean being able to keep the crosshair on screen when ADS’ing would still be an improvement but I literally can’t play with either of the current in game xhairs. I need some kind of customization.

Not interested in playing until there is a fix, or is there an alternative to mumble that EAC does allow?

Playclaw.

Playclaw if you need dedicated Fullscreen.
If you are cool with borderless mode you can also try Rainmeter.

I made a Skin for it, that comes with a couple of different crosshairs and you can use it as a template for your own if you want.

Never needed one as a Vasilli/Aimee player.

Yes, the crosshairs always seemed off to me by a couple of pixels. I had to aim higher than the enemys head to get headshots to land or in weird positions.

This could easily be due to in game spread, I am aware of that possibility, but the mumble overlay once I had it set, I was hitting someone’s head dead accurate, with my crosshair on their head. So I think it’s a little bit of both, I’ll be giving the alternative solution a try.

But I don’t get why they didn’t realize this, and I hope they consider the possibility next time they introduce something to the game, that it won’t mess with what people are using. Like suddenly our huds are messed up again.

if you ever read any of the dev posts, you might not be so confused, but then again ?

I use a desktop overlay program that works almost identically to Mumble. I voted yes because of this.

If better crosshair customization was introduced, I would use the in-game.
