Dicks - Whats the most dickish thing that someone has done / you have done

(HoakinBlackforge) #21

Any character who uses explosives (excluding fire support characters)

A dickish thing I’m noticing is people insulting/making fun of other players for not playing a merc efficiently, when there’s a strong chance that it’s their first time playing that merc. I felt so bad for someone the other day who kept getting snarked on about how slow he was reviving using Sparks, who finally had to explain that it was the first time playing her.

People need to remember that the tutorial doesn’t even come close to covering the bases of what each merc does or allows people the chance to practice in non-combat. Instead of humiliating someone, try actually teaching them how to play that character. Say stuff like, “skyhammer, drop ammo” or “Aura, drop station here by ____” or “Proxy, defuse.” Saying stuff like “worthless medic” or “Stupid Proxy, WTF???” isn’t doing anything.

I try not to be a dick, I’m not a expert…I do get upset at people sometimes and borderline call them cowards sometimes when people would rather hide and pot shot people from a building than push the objective. (Happens on the first objective for terminal and train yard more than I’d like)

Especially when I’m planting or repairing as a non-engineer when there is a engineer up…

(SteelMailbox) #24

Everytime there is a vote shuffle and my team is winning I auto press F2.
It is a bad habit and after one press if it is still bad I try to F1 next time.

(SiegeFace) #25

Not taking a medic. Seriously I feel like I am the only one in EU Pubs xD.

(CCP115) #26

When someone is level 1, and they call a vote kick.

Chill man, it’s a pub.

Also when people say “GG ez” or something along those lines.

Also I hate melee only players that say “rekt”. Not my problem melee is so strongk.

(SpinnerzNQ) #27

Someone took the objective on Bridge and ran all the way to the ammo box on top of the bridge at the beginning of the map. And just sat there.
I hate that guy so much.

(LifeupOmega) #28

They’re usually like, level 10 or under, and I make it my sworn duty to find them in the next game and destroy them.

(SnakekillerX) #29

This might not classify as “the most dickish thing” that has happened to me, or that I have done, but it was probably the most recent. (earlier today)

I was playing on dome as Phantom and we were attempting to defend against a plant on the 2nd stage of the map. I was downing a lot of enemies but kept running out of ammo.

A level 7 Arty walks by me and I ask him for ammo via mic, polity of course. He seems to ignore me, so I ask again. Still ignoring me I start to fire at him with my magnum to try and get his attention while saying “AMMO AMMO AMMO AMMO” he still ignores me and moments later dies to an enemy that has come around the corner.

I finish off the enemy with my katana and walk over to the downed Arty rolling around… and I am about to revive him when I think… yeah right, fuck that and start to slash at his face with my katana over and over again then walk away leaving him there… I felt better.

(kittz0r) #30

when people play Deathmatch and do plants behind corners and stuff even when being told that its hard to defend… i get really pissed and i let my team know…

ez comment

@ SaulWolfden

This so much , I wish there where more people like you. Maybe SD should make some kind of sensibility campaign to support more sportsmanlike behavior. I’m pretty sure a lot of beginners quit because of that , high level switching to the winner team , making fun of the team that gets completely destroyed just to boost their ego.

(Xan) #32

teammate purposely shoot a mine centimetres away from me while i was repairing the ev after a hard push

(Litego) #33

I learned that the only time people say gg is when they win and bg when they lose. This was annoying me, so I started doing it myself just to piss people off, hilarious.

I think it’s quite dickish to vote shuffle in the last minute of the match, or vote shuffle when the teams are balanced, just because the attackers managed to make a push. This happens almost every match.

I regularly ignore downed teammates (when I’m not playing medic) so I can shoot enemies instead, even though they are in relatively safe places to get revived. This pissed people off, but I don’t care cause they’re not worth my time

Is it dickish to call my team stupid when all of them try to defuse the bomb at the same time, only to get naded to hell and obviously lose the point? I don’t know, but I think they are, and I let them know.

(Jesus) #34

I did that once but i was engineer too and i had game mode xp missions i needed the point xD

(LifeupOmega) #35

Not your job, especially if they’ll respawn soon. Only time I’ll stop to revive someone (as a non-medic) is if they’re a medic and they’re on a long spawn.

I agree, it’s not my job, but I still get flack for it.

(Sorotia) #37

Ironic thing is normally they’re some scrub who is carried by his team and has a lower score and bad K/D ratio.

It’s participation trophy mentality…they think because they’re on a winning team, even though they did little to nothing to help, they think they have a right to brag like the person(s) that carried the team.

(Mrarauzz) #38

Adding aimpunch in a “competitive” based FPS

(Sithas) #39

One time when i was still a new player, i let the enemy disarm my teams dynamite, so i could plant it myself. so that i could get the 1k gamemode xp to complete the mission, it was the last mission needed to buy a new merc. I really wanted that new merc

(LifeupOmega) #40

We’ve all done that bud, dw.
