i’ve already written a very secure user authentication script. even if you were to break the encryption (highly unlikely as it’s a 128bit one way MD5 hash), you wouldn’t be able to login even if you had my username and password, because it uses a different algorithm that i designed as a public and private key which includes a variable only ircops can change; your vhost.
as for all of your dreaming about how much overhead and how hard this would be… the only thing i would have to do is give the bot a command such as .etraw ref kick slotnumber
not all mods are made for everyone… i do not ever remember asking anyone if they think it is a good idea or a bad idea wether i should do this or not, i ask someone who was interested in helping to help.
i personally do not care that you all think it’s impossible, it will be my delight to prove to you just how possible it is. as far as overhead, there would be 0. the server will not know anything different or special, it will look like a regular spectator.
et-tv costs money for a server, so that’s out of the question

irc is a free universial form that i (along with many others) could use to broadcast the game in progress to the people in the IRC channel.
i’m sick of arguing the logistics of it, i did not ask for comments on if you liked my idea mod or not… personally i could care less. not every mod out there are you going to like or are you going to use, that’s a given. god only knows how many shitty maps there are that people put many many man-hours into and no one plays. if that’s the case, who cares? i’m going to do it, and it does have a logical purpose. the purpose is entertainment. if you dont like it, that’s your problem… dont install the mod, act as if it doesn’t exist. us people who would use it will use it and be happy.
