'Trick’ jumping pass
Please, please, PLEASE make sure this game has a movement mechanic that allows good players to make use of movement mechanics that further separate good players from new ones.
However, there should be a risk/reward for doing so.
There is nothing about crosshairs…
So, next update we get more options (static crosshairs, length, width, transparency, gap)?
I would love to remove the crosshair which i have drawn with a pen onto my screen.
It works ok for Dirty Bomb, but while other activities its annoying
I want my number 9 back, the big single dot is just awful, altough its better than the full crosshair, but i still cant see anything with my resolution.

I’m assuming you have a CRT or something. Don’t draw on LCD panels. Warranty won’t cover that
Don´t worry
I am a smart guy and have drawn my crosshair on transparent tape which i have stuck onto my LCD.
/edit: just removed the tape - nothing there anymore. Aww Yeah!

Good news. I can sleep tonight
Anti, any decisions/news from Locki on SDK and custom content possibility for DB?
Please, let us know!
Would love to know if there are any plans for a SDK. I know Locki said something like that, but I doubt that we will see it happen.
I would also love to know what splashdamages goals are with DB in terms of the size of the playerbase. When do they think that DB is successful.
Matchmaking and lobbies are truly a disappointment to see. This is a PC game after all. What’s next? Noobstick support? :o
he didnt arrive in 2013 yet.
such systems are a must-have for modern games. Although DB is a game for hardcore-shooter fans it is (IMO) necessary to have such features. As long as a regular old-fashioned server browser is included or available via browser, whatever, it’s fine for all players.
Matchmaking system with an included skill ranking would be really nice.
Not to put words in TacTicToe’s mouth but I’ve seen a lot of people voicing concerns that matchmaking and lobbies means reduction in dedicated server feasibility.
Which at the extreme means no dedicated servers, or alternatively means dedicated servers are allowed but they can’t run any custom configs, or they are allowed with custom configs but no-one will play on them because they’ll all use lobbies resulting in a split community. Also most games that have such a system don’t retain a server browser, adding to the issue.
Left4Dead does a fairly decent job of trying to combine the two, but it suffers from issues such as lobby players landing on a heavily modded server when they wanted to play at standard config, server admins banning some players who’s lobby party then breaks when they try to join, etc.
Basically it’s doable but difficult and just saying you’re going to do it raises more questions than it answers and leaves people uneasy.
Then again I could be completely off-kilter with this and he doesn’t like it because “they have it on consoles”.

We’re planning on having a server browser, having dedicated servers, having custom configs (to what extent we don’t know yet) and we will have some lobbies but only in the modes that make sense.
Matchmaking shouldn’t affect any of these, it should just make getting into matches easier for those who want to use it and for those that want to join sessions as a group. It also allows us to do a ranked comp mode that matches teams by skill.
ranked comp mode sounds sweet, i hope you plan a team ranking (should encourage all kind of teams)
