Well we don’t know what the focus of the new wolfenstein will be. RTCW definitely had a huge singleplayer focus and yet had an amazing MP. Can’t really judge anything but a teaser trailer and the limited information provided. Chances are there will be some kind’ve MP since every wolfenstein since RTCW has had one.

maybe SD will do the MP maps again …who knows

Don’t think anybody is saying there won’t be MP, Rex’s point is that they will focus mainly on SP. Did you play Wolfenstein 2009? Did you see what Bethesda did to Brink? The outlook is bleak for this game, I’m afraid.

A new(ish) studio who no expectations placed on them could work wonders and may just surprise.

So you’re saying bethesda is the reason why Brink turned out bad? Wolfenstein 2009 is had a different developer.

We’re talking about a new studio here and just a teaser trailer… its quite cynical to see a bleak outlook at this point.

Nothing wrong with having some excitement at a game’s announcement. I kinda like the wolfenstein story and I liked wolfenstein 2009 sp so if the game looks decent I may pick it up. Way too early to say.

Didn’t know bethesda was the cause. I really don’t know much about brink cause I’ve never played it. I was anticipating its release since it seemed to have a lot I could enjoy but I was turned off immediately after word of mouth.

Nerve did a fine job. In talking about every id game post rtcw. It’s all been trash since then.

Learning spawntimes requires a degree of skill, and I think it should be kept that way. Being told when you’re enemy spawns is a bit boring.

Macros take skill? Pretty sure you just hit 1 button.

Edit: Nerve didn’t do a fine job. They did a phenomenal job and launched class based mp games to an entirely new level.
