make sure its mono not stereo and the rest is pretty easy to figure out took me about 3 minutes to learn how to use target speakers

lol, i dont even know the basics of a target speaker, just what eRRoLfLyNN told me, i was talking to someone and they said something about a bitrate, what is the bitrate for ET sounds and how do u change it so ET can run it?

Just try to make your sounds:
mono
16 bit
22 050hz
and you should be alright.

Is there a way i can make it smaller, cause the song itself is 3.8MBs and i dont want it to be that big or i cant have it in my level

You need to get a wave editor. You can clip music with it. Edit it however you want. Just do a search for Sound Forge, WaveLab or Creative Wave Studio or search this site for similar things, it’s really good http://www.softpedia.com/
Although, unless you wrote and performed this song or have permission to use it from the producers then it’s illegal.

well how do i get permission for songs that i have no clue who made them?

Well… if you have a mobile phone, you can call this number -> 2580, and if you play a snippet of the track into the receiver, it should tell you what the song is and who the artist is.
Also, you could Google some of the lyrics with the keyword lyrics and see if the song pops up. Bear in mind that the lyrics/artist you find may not be from the same version of the song you have.

Once you know who the artist is, find out how to contact them (you may need to find who produced the song), and simply ask them.

Lol, although I’m guessing you probably won’t have much of a chance of getting hold of them or a contact address, let alone getting permission. Especially if it’s ever been in the charts. Sorry :frowning:
You’ve probably got a better chance of the MS Word paper clip holding a sensible conversation about crumpets.

well i had a pretty good conversation with the paperclip and decided to hit him, but o well, that would probably be to hard to do, ill probably just forget the song inputs
