Brink has a live lobby system. You begin a game and invite your friends in to a “warm-up” session during which time a game of what is essentially Team Deathmatch is occurring and you can explore the map, change teams etc. When people ready-up, the game begins properly. They wanted to get away from a static, boring menu-type lobby. Currently this is only available on Old Skool/Competetive playlists but if feedback is good, it can be incorporated in other modes too.

Information obtained from an interview with Richard Ham on last night’s Machinima Brink livestream.
That is only for private games. We’re asking for a way to have your party join a pub game together instead of trying to find a game that can accommodate your group then hoping everyone else can get in before it fills up. You know, like every other game out there right now.

BTW, /signed.

It seems like they tryed to be so diffent then the other shooters out there that they shot them self in the face. And ya I signed.

(Brendover) #23

Fix the lag, then put in lobbies.

Then the game will be perfect.

(PopeTackler) #24

Bumping. Bumping.

(Herandar) #25

Ahh, internet petitions. Good luck with that.

(EagleBurn) #26

I was thinking the same.

(IceShot22) #27

Signed, if i could double sign I would. This REALLY needs to be implemented splash.

(BiigDaddyDellta) #28

For sure just to observe public games or people on your friends list and what they’re doing so you can easily jump in

(EagleBurn) #29

Exactly, and I like your sig lol.

Here is a reddit link for this, please upvote.

SIGNED.
hate to say it, but COD got this part right.

(Shredow) #32

Developers don’t really take these petitions seriously.

Signed nontheless.

Also I made a thread describing why the lack of lobbies hurts the game.

Found here

Also keep discussion constructive. Three people talking about an issue and presenting their opinions intelligently are far better than 3,000,000 people posting nonconstructive critisicm.
Now we actually need a petition to add a basic feature like this…Were they all doing drugs at SD or how could they forget about a lobby system?

Signed
They are PC gamers they only understand LAN parties not xboxlive and PSN parties

I don’t understand why people can’t understand it. Is there a big issue that I’m missing here?

Developers?

I don’t think there’s a single person in the entire world that take’s internet petitions seriously. They’re a joke.

(fearlessfox) #38

Logic: let’s not bother asking for a fundamental function simply because you’re making the most of it right now.

/signed.

(TheKillmobile) #39

An option to keep your Fire Team together would work better for me. I don’t want a lobby necessarily but a place to join up with friends and move on to other public or private things together wouldn’t hurt.

If you aren’t playing this game because there is no lobby…have fun.

(Mobius32) #40

Probably won’t make a difference, but signed anyway. We can always hope
