What a masterpiece.
And to celebrate a Dirty Bomb without Nexon, ladies and gentlemen, all race, religion and sizes, I PRESENT: @stayfreshshoe 's “friend” that helped the Downfall of Nexon:
P.S: (with African American Gangster accent) Ey, look. Shoe ain’t gonna give a $#!* about me or them homies, man. Let’s waste them moTHARF**#RR
Hah thanks for the comments and interesting photoshops. The team loves them!
Which also as good as confirms the speculation with nexon holding back developement.[/quote]
Don’t misread this as a way to hammer down Nexon. Gus Fring bought back SD roughly 6 months ago, which is in business terms yesterday. First of all, they need to budget things down and new recruitments would not happen right after the acquisition.
Moreover, I guess they would not invest significant money in a game that was not published under their full control (or SD one, the same). Nexon was probably at the same position refusing to put any dime in the balance, having the complete knowledge of being in an ejection seat.
If a slow down had happened, which is a far hypothesis, they’re not due to a specific side of the board here. But both, and fairly justifiable in economical terms.

Good god, Shoe’s eyes!!!
In my eyes it just looked strange that the moment they left nexon they hired people for development
But what your said seems reasonable, thanks for the explanation.

Too mutch of pheonix’s nanites
Or maybe this was SD’s plan all along and therefore there was a lot of effort put in to actually delay content releases.

Why would they delay content. enless they were trying to piss of nexon to the point of getting a divorce???

The Gus Fring acquisition has definitely changed the situation. But keep this in mind :
I don’t think they’d have risked their own project just trying to grab the success for themselves later on. Let’s be honest, the game has relative audience issues and delaying further down the line things they could have released at some point would higher the risk.
No matter how, some people in Nexon’s chain had to be aware of SD progress. And I don’t think delaying things on purpose is very legal so to speak, especially when you buy publishing rights back.
Yes, there might have been a minor stall in updates and stuff, i.e. the CMM and new ranked season coming, but they have more reasons to be related to the proper business transaction than anything else. Both parties have to evaluate what the publishing rights are worth or cost them in the past to set a price tag. And the negociations tend be easier if the evaluated asset does not evolve in the meantime.
