Combat Intuition is too effective

I expect this to disturb the balance between classes…if this aspect of the Operative-class gets that much attention, then the other classes need to get something to balance things out.

What alot of people aren’t getting is that when you disguise as an Operative, the only real good thing about it is that you can run around the map looking like the enemy and more important you can put homing beacons on primary targets, like medics. Iron sighting an enemy is the only way to put a homing beacon on, and if they have this ability it makes the disguise pointless. They should change this and theres two ways:

  • make it so combat intuition senses when an enemy shoots you, not just when you’re in their sights (this would be bad for snipers… but does anyone really snipe in this game?)
  • change it so if the operative is disguised, the warning doesn’t come up

This would be awesome. It would make the Operative class actually have a point and they would be like saboteurs.

I have more info on my thread, if your american, can you bump it for me? as i am british and need to sleep.

From personal camping experience, it’s good if you’re a camper and getting sneak attacked.

(Jared_Sol) #27

Except there’s an operative skill that relies on you aiming at enemies while disguised, highlighting them for your team. This skill completely invalidates that.

(magus424) #28

Hurray! Some people actually understand it. Operatives are supposed to be able to highlight enemies, but with CI, trying to use homing beacon is a death sentence.

(mundox) #29

This thing helps camper more than anyone. I flank the team and are about to shoot a sniper on the face when he snaps all of a sudden a HS me… effing yay.

I personally dont use it.

(Schwarzeis) #30

You have to hard-aim at people to spot them with Homing Beacon, this you can do in disguise without breaking it

Are you telling us that Operatives shouldn’t use Homing Beacon behind the lines? :o

(DeadEye) #31

If you think CI is too effective, then don’t aim at someone till you’re close enough to kill.

(Ramziez) #32

It seems kinda odd for me to say this… but I kinda like that idea… instead of giving operatives buffs make them have debuffs.

(deathzero34) #33

First)
I like Combat intuition as it is but I agree that if its breaking a class ability it should obviously be change. So CI is not triggered if the enemy is in disguise.

Second)
The idea of operative giving debuff is interesting but odd. The problem is there no way to refuse buffs. So an operative just going around debuffing everyone would be to powerful or rather unstoppable.
