There was a skin pack installed that also changed the skinfiles of the allied players.

Der Admin kann doch einfach ein kleines Paket mit dem Client basteln. Dann läuft das ganze dann auch auf pure Servern. Mich stört nur, dass das ganze zu ner Art !glow mutiert … Sniperfutter.
I’m sorry i’m such a noob and all but i’m gonna have to ask this question… I cannot get this file to work and i htink it is because i’m not putting in the right file when I unzip it :banghead: . If someone could walk me through it or just post a reply about it that is in a bit more understandable english that’d be super. (Also which mods does it work for Pro / JMod/ Pub / Shrub / Main.??) THANKS

It can be used with server side mods like shrub or pub.

Unpure servers to test:
Shrubet: 213.202.214.39:27960
ET-Pub: 62.75.218.214:27960

[li]make a safety copy of the directory of the moddirectory where you want to install the mod
[/li][li]unzip the zipfile with subdirectories enabled into the directory where ET.exe is located (that should create a subdirectory next to etmain, etpro, … with name powerup_visualization)
[/li][li]copy the files of the powerup_visualization-subdirectory into the moddirectory (for example shrubet, etpub, etc)

i think in my opinion that i got a better effect when i use that just a tip nullskillz, its your choise.
also using the powerup shader only on the weapon and not on the whole player skin will be nicer…

cause the whole player skin really look weird…
and i dont know if its just me but the player animation at the first pic seems to be “STUCK” in a way. maybe its the still pic effect

and adding a dynamic light to every player is probably not a good idea since you ither force it so tweekers can turn it off but then lower perfromace systems cant play your mod or you allow it to be disabled and its gets turned off to save perfromace thus making the mod not do what its intended to
also the other concern i have is how obviuos it makes you. im a great lover of the knife and most of my play revolves around being stealth rather then skilled at 1v1 and this sertainly wouldnt aid my play when im lit up like a christmass tree
i think it could work well for freez tag to show frozen players as long as its a differnt colour for both teams since players in that position have nothing to lose from being seen by the enemy and want to be seen by there own teamates
a greater varienty of over head markers might be a good way to display power up since they already show objectives and invunrablity in a good way expanding it to adrenaline and other commands like requests could be a nice way to display information qucikly and effectvly during a match
i am kinda new to PK3 files, i have used your source, however when i goto connect sometimes i am able to view the Powerups and other connected clients cannot, and sometimes it just does not work full stop but my mode code does
Please can u tell me what i am doing wrong?

Do you have a server where this mod is installed (or with a mod that uses the code)?
Or do you only join several servers as client?
i am running it from my home server to test,
these are the steps i have taken,
And 1/5 times it will work when the server starts but then after shutting down and restarting the server it seems to not to work with the shadors but with the mod commands working all fine

i tried this but somehow got by me the first time but now is working
i put the dll files into the PK3 file and make it read only on the outside one on the dll files
it seems to be working now with clients able to download the PK3 file
LOL ive been finding some new shadors
ive got mr bubble man atm with the gun seperated by a different shador oringal
