A question on the naming and shaming policy if you would @Amerika

If say i saw some guy obviously hacking in a server and had a screenshot, and one person asked in specific who it was, could i show that one person a SS in a private forums message or should i find some other way to share it (through steam etc)

What happens off these forums is your own business. And we can’t and wouldn’t police private messages. They are private.

You want to show your evidences? Simple, just update to YouTube and send the link with your support ticket, or private message.

When I want to report a hacker in old system, I will always make sure I have all the informations including what servers, the link of his steam profile, the time, how, and the evidence of videos and pictures. It was kinda hard time for players to report a hacker in the old day ´д` ;

I would love to see noobs call me a hacker and recall a video. So when I go to YouTube to type my name, I can see some interesting videos. However, it seems to be too hard for players to do the recall. :frowning:

BTW, in case you misunderstand me, I typed this was only because I just remembered people called me a hacker, but it is actually a honor for me due to people admit my skill level.

The ideas in OP’s posts are very solid though. Pausing is already a thing, and if lets say people from cheater’s opponent team call it, theres at least 1 full minute to discuss about the elephant in the room. Not many people enjoy chatting mid-game so that should be good way to start.

This way its easier to come into conclusion with everyone involved to a) multiple report and kick the hacker or b) have vote like OP suggested implemented in the game, and all agreeing to vote it pass.

This kind of “let this match not affect anyone’s ranks” vote should be in the game and it should be there yesterday. Also definitely important to have it so that like 6-7/10 or at very least 8/10 to pass it, as hacker can be accompanied with another attention hoggin’ pitiful Pete (no offense to Petes, most of you’re cool  ) which can easily torpedo the vote if too many “yes” are required. I’d throw in 6 or 7 yes requirement because of so many illiterate and inconsiderable people around, but if this kind of vote would be implemented I’d be fine with anything for starters.

The last time I played a ranked match was a few months ago and it wasn’t a pleasant experience due to the abundance of cheaters. In fact, I uninstalled the game a few days ago, but decided to give it one more try with the recent patches etc.

My FIRST ranked match in months featured this guy (nickname REMOVED). Just look in the upper-right corner:

REMOVED

I’m sorry, but the abundance of cheaters still makes ranked games unplayable. There is no point in playing the game for me unless I see a major improvement in the anti-cheat system. Also, it takes all 4 other team members to agree on the vote kick (we tried to do it). This means that all a cheater has to do is pair up with somebody to essentially block the kick (and that was the situation in this case). Think this through devs. I’m out.

now I started playing more ranked I am encountering more hackers…

much fun!

Just got matched against him.

So one guy is hacking for two days. Just look at the forums for the impact.

How is this not a priority?

(sixten) #30

Because you think everyone hacks Opicron.

(opicr0n) #31

Clearly you have not played against him ^^.

(lard) #32

Well I can see the difference between skill and hack. I dont talk about player with a decent aim (doesnt matter which level). But to be honest a lvl 5 Player with 142-2 on Stopwatch is somehow strange, isnt it?

(Quiet) #33

yea phrack is def hacking. He was stream sniping latrodectus yesterday.
