[quote]Script_movers work perfectly fine without AI files regardless of SP or DM.
Would it be possible to show me one sample .map file (accompanied with the .script file) that I can verify this on please, I have been unsuccessful to accomplish that.

The ONLY reason the .ai file is there, is so that the func_invisible_user will function in singleplayer, in multiplayer, you can just supply a scriptname, and it will work from the .script file. The script_movers can, and do function totally from the .script file.

Creating a .ai script is not pointless since it is required when I want to have a func_invisible_user starting the script_mover. I thought this was obvious since the thread mentions the ‘hand symbol’ and func_invisible_user entities.
I just find it a bit weird that this wasn’t mentioned if people had the info. As the thread developed, I had to figure it out myself. I’m sure the map you and djbob works fine in both MP and SP, but when you made it, you already had the info I gave in the thread previously, correct?
I’m not trying to be rude or anything, but I just think it’s remarkable that the moment I posted how I solved the problem, there’s a link to a tutorial on your site on the very same matter.
I can agree with you though that it’s not required to have an .ai script for a script_mover to work.
I’m not trying to be rude or anything, but read up, we worked out that you needed an ai file, before you mentioned it, and were already working on the tutorial map at that point.
And what sock said was, it’s pointless if all you are doing is a script_mover, no mention of the func_invisible_user, that’s a totally different matter
