I have my Tseng Labs graphics monstrosity ready, Brink it on bitches!
can I run it?
Minimum system requirements:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA 8800GS / AMD Radeon HD 2900 Pro
Windows XP (SP3)/Vista/Windows 7
8GB free HDD space
to answer to all the concerned
why is the game so demanding anyways?
My computer has been able to play every game on at least medium up to this point, in which I don’t even meet the minimum specs.
And the game is running on id tech 4 !
Well if ktr has the same laptop as me and is confident I can run it…I guess so.
I know I can run it…it’s just a question of how well.
Rig:
q6600 (stock)
8800 GT (x2 in SLI)
4 gig ram
I ran the Crysis 2 demo at medium at 1366x768 and I thought it looked great. I’m about 6 months away from building my first rig by myself. Just waiting for the SandyBridge mobo’s to show some reliability after that recall bs. Still think I’m going to go with ATI 6870 (or 6850) in CF though. Nvidia just seems too power hungry and are heat generators from what I’ve read.
In six months though, I’m sure it will all change and I’ll be back to square one.
hm… seems game is more CPU sensitive… now im considering if i will take preorder or should i wait for first reviews about performance on C2D Cpu’s… ?

yeah, in six months nvidia will release Kepler architecture based on 28 nm chips
Nice link Herbalwizard, but it doesn’t detect SLI
I have double the Graphics performance of recommended and exactly the right CPU performance…
Thank you for the link.
It says that my 9600 GSO is slightly below the minimum but isn’t it just a newer version of the 8800 GS?

I think they rewrote the graphics and sound renderers.

See digibob/badman posts.

Does anyone have a roundup of interviews that discusses the graphics/improvements? I’ve only seen it mentioned here and there but I don’t follow this with rabid tenacity anymore. Too much to do.
Don’t worry it’s a very capable computer. I have an i7 870 and that bench score is about 6050 or something, and the 2500K is 6550 or so… I have NO problems running everything pretty much with all settings maxed out (I have a GTX570 though which helps).
I just bought my mrs an i5 2400 cause they were out of the 2500K and 2500 and for her it was suitable (and I’m impatient), and her cpu smokes everything that’s been tossed at it.

Your CPU is fine but your video card is not.
if i upgrade my graphics card and processor will i also need to look into getting a new power supply?
