[QUOTE=Exedore;334006]None of the weapon tweaks are live yet.
The reason the consoles will sometimes get the netvars first is because bigger fixes are going into the PC version along with them, and therefore require more testing. You could always stop finding problems…

This makes me hopeful.
Interesting about the lack of weapon tweaks. There was a kind of placebo effect.

so tweaks exist and are going live at some point. Yeah baby

Yeah totally true! Very interesting indeed. Might be also that people get more and more used to the other weapons too and of course the buffing. If the people start actually buffing their team with kevlar theres already less dmg going on.
Is only me or had kevlar a cooldown in the first place? Now its instant.
Thank you for the update on the upcoming update.
Look forward to even greater games!
Cheers,
I don’t know if it was an additional placebo effect, but I noticed more people playing with Heavies and with a greater variety of weapons for the past 2 days or so (on PC servers). So much more fun than all carb-9 skinnies!

Ok…seriously. This is my last attempt to try and get an official answer from someone at SD about party lobbies for console specifically XBOX 360.
Dear Mr. Lead Designer, are you planning on adding party lobbies for the XBOX 360? This is something that almost every console player is asking for. A simple addition like this might be exactly what Brink needs to stop losing players and maybe even adding players to the game. The upcoming DLC will not be enough to get new players on the 360. On second thought…it might get some new players but as soon as they try and find matches you will lose them.
The current setup is not easy enough for newer console players to understand so they just give up and quit chalking it up to bad design. You made every attempt to make the experience a great one for newer gamers/sensitive gamers from forcing teamplay through xp, no k/d ratios, no leaderboards in the game, video tutorials, audio/visual cues for gamers so they know to revive/give ammo to someone. But you forgot party lobbies? C’mon now!
ARE YOU GOING TO ADD PARTY LOBBIES TO CONSOLES!!!
So console players, how big are the changes?
Does dehacking seem more reasonable know? Is it hard to get it down to 0%?
Is the passcode return time on sec tower longer? How long? Is it hard for def to return it? Does it make it easier to push through?
Based on casual observation alone:
De-hacking seems to be better… on the last objective of Resort it seemed to be roughly 1-to-1 (percent-to-second)… which is much better than the 3-to-1 or so it was.

The difference is small, but noticeable if you’ve been playing since day one. A good team will get the job done regardless. You have a better chance of stopping the Engineer before he removes the hack now, but the challenge is still there. Overall, I am fine with the adjustments.
As a Soldier, you can die, respawn instantly (if the timing is right), rush towards the objective with a Nade prepped, Nade the sh^it out of the engineers de-hacking, and effectively stop them from depleting more than 20%. Before it was insta-0 %.
Of course, someone can intercept you, but the point is that all hope is not lost if the enemy briefly clears you out with minimal survivors on their part.
I’ve always found that Hack Objectives play out like King-of-the-Hill. If you control the area, then you will accomplish the objective regardless.
De-hacking will probably require the game-time equivalent of at least two respawn waves. By contrast, the offensive Hack will require about 1.5 respawns. In other words, as a defender, you will only really get one shot at reclaiming the Hacking Territory if you surrender control to the enemy.
Wow I thought the adrenaline buff was useless before, now it’s even shorter? lol okay.
Instead of thinking it is useless, try it. I get a lot of good use out of it. Even with only 4 sec duration, you just have to wait a bit longer before you apply it, yesterday I saw a soldier completing a plant on the container city gate while taking a ****load of fire. Of course he died afterwards, but the charge got activated.
After imp life buff and the 2 supply pips, probably the best medic ability imo. It wasn’t for nothing it got nerfed.
@Je T´aime in CC, the defending team can use the adrenalin boost to get past the attacking teams spawn turrets and camp in the back of the spawn. I’ve seen it happen. When you’re the one being spawn camped it’s no fun, but apparently those cheating a-holes had a “great” time being lame d-bags.
:o thats not a cool conversational tone ^
they need to nerf the carb soo bad

I suppose for a situation like that a nerf could be needed, but when you’re held down in your spawn or a pinch point adrenaline doesn’t really help a whole lot, you can maybe kill one person before you die. Plus you get highlighted bright yellow so everyone shoots the crap out of you lol. It’s a swing role buff that only does well in one of it’s areas and that’s why I don’t use it.
adrenalin boost is only to do an objective or as a distraction for your team to run in. i mean a team of 8 medics on defense constantly doing adrenalin boost and reviving the guy when he is down sounds real annoying, but what are the chances?
