Brink Pre-order Packages and North American Retailers Revealed
I thought the greeneye scope was still going to be unlockable on Brink. Is it really not going to be available if you don’t pre-order? I keep reading contradicting reports.
Also, I thought the silencers for the psycho pack were just skins for some silencers… I would really like some positive information regarding these things. LoL

Yes the silencers are just skins.
Where tdid you read that the greeneye was unlockable?
It says the greeneye scope will be received early if you get the pack, and if you watch the gun customization videos it does show a rifle getting scope attachments and greeneye scope is listed with the rest. It wouldn’t be if it was only available through pre-order, right?
It also makes it seem as if the hockler machine pistol is only unlocked early rather than exclusive, but that is less clear.
Well, if the Spec-Ops and Psycho packs were just ‘‘earlier unlocks’’ then that would be pretty… Well… ****ty?
I completely agree with you on that. I think it would be really pointless to just have them as early unlocks (although apparently they’re meant to be brag rights so I highly doubt it). It really seems as if it would be exclusive weapons, the only thing is that the scope seems like an early unlock and the silencers are basically just skins for a silencer. However, it would be nice to have an official comment on the matter from the makers on what the attachment pre-order bonus’ really are, early unlocks, skins or full on exclusives.
Look at this ------> “Part of the appeal of Brink is the robust character customization in the game, and these special pre-order items are meant to be “brag” items that tell other people that you were of the early adopters, poised on the Brink. Take a look below at what you’ll get.”

The build of the game that this person is showing off in the video probably has all unlockables and maps unlocked.
The weapons probably have identical stats to similar non-pre-order weapons.
So you’re saying they kept exclusive bonuses available in the trailer even though that means plenty of people won’t have it available or that it is just early unlocked if you get the pre-order bonus? I think the machine pistol would be exclusive and maybe the bonus exclusive is that you can attach a scope to a pistol. I think I read somewhere that you could only use ironsights and red dot attachments on pistols, no scopes.
I doubt it will unbalance the game much. When BF2142 was first released, buying it from Best Buy got you a weapon reskin. Turns out, the weapons had slightly different stats than it’s original cousin, but it was so marginal there wasn’t an advantage. These weapons will probably either have non preorder counterparts or be free. I don’t think Splash Damage would punish us like that would you?
Several of the trailers show pistols with red dot or reflex sights.
Exactly, like I said ironsights OR red dot attachments. That’s what I read or saw in an interview or something at least.
Hopefully. I really despise the thought that somebody might have an unfair advantage on me (however small it is).
some people confuse red-dot sights with laser sights, red-dot suspends a dot reticule in your vision, you can use it with both eyes open, lasers put a dot on the target, very little range
This. And This again. You probably took my “all over the place” as the dot being all over the place… I actually meant running around the map. I hate laser dots, and I hate scopes since I don’t like the quick zoom and it usually takes me that extra half a second to properly locate my target. Think looking through a straw.
I like iron sights since you can still properly take in your whole environment but they obscure vision of the target a little, so red dots are brilliant since they give minor zoom, and allow you to nice and quickly locate your target.
Oh yeah? Well, I’m going to go green dot all over your red dottery!
And the red-green colorblind will have no idea whats going on!!
