Brink kind of scratches that cyber punk itch

(Auzner) #41

I’ve had my own ideas for a cyberpunk game. I’m not any good at creative story writing so I don’t have that aspect to really make the concept exhaustive. If I did have a story it would inspire me to reason out more gameplay elements. Right now I’ve come up with a lot of stuff but don’t have a solid quantization for making anything playable. I don’t ever expect it to go anywhere, just something I do in my spare time until cyberpunk makes a come back.

Just buy necromunda (if its still possible?) and taste the thing… GW allways made effin good games, wont work as pen n pencil weekends (or was it weeks? I forgot when this mentalist made a dbl twelve and ate my brain) but its still pretty awesome. I f you are more into “the past”, you can also try Mordenheim, it was a huuge game also.

Peace

So after some deliberating. I’ve decided that I want to pull out my sculpting supplies and try my hands at some warhammer 40K sized figurines. When I finish something I’ll make a new thread since it’ll be kind of unrelated to this.

Definitely not possible to buy it. All the rules are downloadable via PDF on their site and you can find loads of stuff via torrent. I usually won’t download torrents but since it’s all defunct and you can’t find it I’d say it’s probably alright. It’s all the scenarios that have ever been in the white dwarf magazines. I have everything printed out laminated and in a binder in a drawer. So that I can take it with me for games with friends. I wouldn’t mind going strictly pen and paper like RPG shadowrun. But I do sculpt figurines. (I mostly copy stuff that’s not in circulation anymore from pictures and then make molds and reproduce so I can do different color schemes. When it comes down to it. All the equipment to make stuff yourself is cheaper then actually buying a lot of the overpriced things GW releases. But it takes a lot of time and attention to detail. You have to have patience. I can’t draw worth crap. I just copy based on Hi Def pictures of other people’s models.

I’d say if you don’t want to get models then go the shadowrun route. A torrent link is here. This is just the most complete work that I know of. You could get all of these by going to different pen and paper sites on the internet but I promise you it’ll take forever to find them all. But they were available for a while free on the original IP owners website a long time ago. So eh.
