Being a stupid dick to the team and trolling a ban reason?

(Bu5hmast3r) #21

at present no one will be banned.

Are you fucking serious? You are labeling griefing as a “playstyle”? Of course griefing is a ban worthy offense. Has been since the advent of online gaming.
if you mean server ban, then I agree, if you mean full game ban, then I don’t
but only if we get admin-able servers
Yeah I’m not necessarily saying that this particular case of griefing should be bannable, just that griefing in general is certainly bannable. For this case, they should institute account suspensions or something severe enough to discourage that sort of behavior. Not a full game ban though.

send him home to bed without supper so he can take a long hard look at how his life is turning out

Man, I wish vote to kick actually worked in this game. I have never seen a vote kick go through in my 300 hours of this game.

(Sorotia) #25

Had something like this happen a few days ago…the person kept picking up the objective and literally ran it back to the spawn point…extremely luckily…we managed to capture both with 4 seconds remaining.

(Jojack) #26

No idea if this is what your guy was doing, but a lot of times I will do that on Bridge because my whole team is dead and if I just try to return it there’s literally no way I will get it returned. I’ll run back to spawn, wait for my teammates to spawn and we go clear the return area together and then return the drugs.

One thing is securing it. The other thing is to carrying it to the very fist spawn, staying here with a friend from the defender team and laugh through VOIP while acting retarded: “How do I drop objective?”

oh look my post got a flag. How cute. Seems someone is unaware of something called satire or what it means by allegorically speaking?

here is a link as i assume you need to study up: http://english.stackexchange.com/questions/23588/what-is-the-difference-between-metaphorical-allegorical-and-figurative

if the link doesnt work for you here is a relevant quote:

It is important, here, to consider that in this case you actually have two meanings: the literary meaning and the hidden meaning.

please dont waste admin time. they got better things to do then make sure ur diaper is fresh and that someone in an authoritative position is supervising you

Satire is a kind of glass, wherein beholders do generally discover everybody’s face but their own.
Jonathan Swift, The Battle of the Books (1704).

It’s just annoying because you do it in almost every thread. Your “I’m so funneh XDDDDD r0flc0pter” comments are spam.

Depends if the player is doing it repeatedly or not. If it’s a one off, or once a week even, they don’t deserve a life time ban. Maybe a suspension for a couple of days at worst.

By that logic a hacker who player one-two times per week or is heavily aimbotting in 2 of 10 games only or so shouldn’t get permabanned. Game should have a in-game report system for this where people actually can make a short description, and if one person receives multiple reports with “****bag is hiding objective”, he get banned.

(Ghosthree3) #32

No, not by that logic at all. There is a huge difference with a player giving in to frustration and trolling a game and letting loose with an aimbot.

(RuleofBooKz) #33

laudatoryLunch do i really have to explain this to you? did u flag the post? because “i dont find u funny or understand satire” isn’t a flag offense u have to call admin in for. Isn’t that pretty straight forward?

satire is not just “being funny for no reason” look at this:

read it all but this is a nutshell:

Although satire is usually meant to be humorous, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit to draw attention to both particular and wider issues in society.

Society in this instance could be this game / community. Tell me u get it and dont need me to explain how my post

send him home to bed without supper so he can take a long hard look at how his life is turning out

fits into a thread about “should the guy get punishment for X”?

PS: “but i dont find it funny” does not matter at all. (future reference)

At least tomorrow will have a update, and including view kick , hope it’s gonna works. By the way that guy Nail looks like a 5 years old kid who doesn’t know what he is doing and think that is smart LOL

Generally id prefer preventive progressive measures in place, like first offense gets player temp, lets say 7 days, ban, while next(or one after that) get player banned for good. If hes a dumbarse who dont get it, then there is no point to go easy on him.
But since both reporting and punishment systems are broken as hell, im kinda stuck in between. On one hand, preventive measures would be better; on the other, due to poor means of reporting and lack of any clear rules, getting player offense noted by CS even once can be a problem.

Well kick him (F5, vote kick) and that will disrupt his annoyance.

Hence why I said investigation  I’m not talking about banning. I’m talking about looking into offenses and seeing if there is merit to looking into disciplinary action.
