Yeah I was originally going to have the scoreboard as part of the ‘tactical shack’ - but I really like the idea of having it on the command map. The little model of the enemy’s base would be a nice addition to the tactical shack - I was looking for another bonus for it.

daybreak from the MLB mappack is using shaderremapping for a 90 seconds countdown. I’m not sure if there is a max number of times that you can remap a shader. But anyway the scripting documentation states that a maximum number of shaders that can be remapped in one flush is 128. So go for it with you counter.

And btw. my favorite of these maps are the b1b version. its nice and simple. I didn’t like the beta2, most likely because I didn’t take the time to get to know it. But I’m looking forward to this version.

Offtopic. Grave Robbery is also a lot of fun. So :notworthy: for that one.

Yea i preferred the first one meself, too much other stuff in the 2nd and too much fog for me, but it’s nice to see the development of the interesting game type

One question about the new constructible system - what will be left for the engys to do?

Yep the fog will be the same as in beta1/1b (which is the same as radar…).

Building and repairing the constructions that are buildable / damagable, such as the rocketguns and outpost. Also there will be lots and lots and lots of landmines to diffuse - one of the stages of the engineering shack will periodically lay down landmines. Engies will be plenty busy!

Well what can I say but the fact that I am really looking forward to have Beta 3 up and running asap on our M8D International Betamaps servers.
I have had a lot of fun playing Baserace with a lot more people and it´s still a favourite at our place.

Q: will it have a reasonable max amount of mines it will have down & “live” at any one time?
Q: will diffusing them give them XP?
Q: will the “auto” landmines eat into the landmine count (either the usual 10 or b_maxmines with etpro)?

If he is using the landmine entities, they will count against the max number of teamlandmines. However the script can spawn new ones beyond the limit, engineers can’t just plant any themselves.

Err? When I have used them in test maps they dont count against the team landmine count. ??

If your map contains 15 allied landmines from the start, allies won’t be able to plant any more until the 6 of them has been removed.

Hi, just d/l’d the beta 2 map last weekend, ive only played it alone so far, cant wait to play my bro on it, i also like the random terrain in the middle, adds an unknown to each new game…

Just a thought, but would it be possible to make it so that engineers can reverse the progress of the enemies buildings if it is interrupted, say by killing the engineer, this may be hard with the auto-buildings, but i think it would be good.

And this would probably be hard, but possibly engineers could build new tunnels in the tunnel system?

Would it be possible to have the map with random and static middle section? Set a variable in a cfg file for it or something? I love the random terrain in the middle section. Keeps people from memorizing the choke points.
