Arty's Airstrike

I agree Arty is damn near perfect when mastered. I have 90 hours with Arty at the moment and I average about 15-20k in Objective games. Some really good drawn out objective games you can easily push out 28-30k if you have a good medic keeping you in the action all game. I think my highest ever game with Arty was 56k in a Stopwatch game that was drawn out to 29 minutes. His mains are incredibly strong, his airstrikes are pretty verstaile with cross map range and he has infinite ammo. What more can you ask for.

In fact I was incredibly surprised when… I think it was 2-3 streams ago, Faraleth put up his notes and it said something along the lines of the devs were considering giving him some kind of indoor ability as well to balance him out with Skyhammer since his marker can be used as a grenade indoors. Arty is already so strong, it seems stupid to give him more if you ask me.

Which reminds me, I intended to start a conversation regarding Airstrike balance a while ago, but never did it.

imagine skyhammer that’s more precise and can still do something indoor
(well skyhammer can do indoor pretty well)

What are the gonna do give him explosive attack drones with razor sharp blades. I don’t know what kind of air support they could give him.

On a side note when is Artie or sky hammer gonna have the ability to give out specialty rounds like incindiary or explosive.

I know what I would do. Shine the laser designator in peoples eyes. Maybe let it spot them? Either that or a semi-blind similar but much weaker then thunder.

I dunno. Just spitballing. Love the idea of blinding people with the laser though.

It would need quite a significant cone of fire or whatchamacallit, because if I had to point it at people’s head why wouldn’t I just shoot them?

If you didn’t want to break the realism, could simply have them get an RPG indoors.
